While I won't be attending the game, I will be making the four hour drive to Dallas to take in the weekend. I know there are a couple other board members going, so I thought I might start a thread to post events taking place in the city. I just received an email from the Cheddarhead Pack of Houston. They'll be planning several events for Packers fans. If you're headed to Dallas (or even if you're not), use this thread to post events for Packers fans to meet up.

Green and Gold Pep Rally and Green Bay's own Inside the Huddle TV Show - Dallas

Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011 - House of Blues (Dallas)

Inside the Huddle is a show that airs on FOX weekly throughout Wisconsin. It is hosted by Donald Driver and various players; however, Donald will NOT be there for the taping, it is his birthday and scheduling allowed other players will be on the show. Be part of the audience, be part of history and let the folks in Wisconsin know that next week Dallas, Texas is Green Bay South.. G-Force is in the house!

Doors open at 5 PM; filming starts at 5:30.

Green & Gold Pep-rally kicks off at 7 PM to cheer the Pack onto victory. Santana Dotson is hosting the event and it will be attended by various past and possibly present players.

The Pep Rally is a party format with plenty of fellowship, music and meeting Packer fans from all over.

General admission is $20.00; VIP Access is $100.00.

CHPH has a hold on a 10-room block at the Best Western - Convention Center. It's one mile from House of Blues and the NFL Experience in the Convention Center.

I'll continue to post other events as I receive them from CHPH.

The audio cuts out in some places. I used to watch every game at this bar and it's an absolutely great time. Donald's mom and sisters go up there, as do Jerry Kramer's kids (with the occasional appearance from Jerry). As I've grown older and wiser though, I now opt for a bar within walking distance to avoid drinking and driving (the Packer bar is out on the west side and I live near downtown).

There are all kinds of Superbowl events in Dallas, go to nfl.com and start drilling down for more information. However, many of them are expensive to be a part of.

There will be a free, informal tweetup at Primo's tomorrow (2/2) from 5-7pm. It's hosted by the NFLPA and Houston Texans OT Eric Winston (among other guests) will be there fielding questions and meeting fans.

Drink/food specials, fan Q+A, Super Bowl trivia/giveaway, and a free tee shirt for all in attendance.

Just wanted to follow up on my last post. Unfortunately due to the weather, road conditions and blackouts in the Dallas area, we are forced to cancel the tweetup at Primo's this evening. We'll update you on future events as they pop up. Enjoy Super Bowl week despite the weather!
