According to a source with access to NFL salary information, Jones’ three-year contract with the Packers is worth $9.4 million, or an average of $3.13 million a year.

Jones’ contract had a $1.5 million signing bonus plus a $1.3 million base salary and $950,00 roster bonus for this year, for a $3.75 million total. Next year he’ll make a $2.3 million base salary and $200,000 roster bonus ($2.5 million total), and in 2013 he’ll make a $2.95 million base salary and $200,000 roster bonus ($3.15 million total).

I think that's a good deal for the Packers and I bet Donald retires after '11 or '12 and the Packers extend James Jones after he made two pro bowls. 😛

I have to wonder if Jones would have been back in GB if not for the lockout. There would have been more time for other teams to think it over and make an offer or counter offer. GB wins.

I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't here for the 2013 season(money).

While I'm not a huge James Jones fan, he's a solid #3. Have to keep these guys around if you can.
