I don't think the naming of a street has anything to do with money ... as per the hold up.

It is a topic that will generate press.. you can be sure that some politician is going to utilize it for their gain. Without a doubt.

Street Signs.. deed changes, zoning changes.. etc.. a politician can have a field day if they choose to oppose it.

I third the idea of renaming Holmgren Way after 🇲🇲. Still bitter about '97. [assault]

Btw, I don't think Holmgren survives the upcoming zombie plague. You all know what happens to people who lose their cool.

This option cost zero dollars, as there is a Thompson Lake  in WI already. Up in my neck of the woods it is.

I don't remember anyone saying it was too costly, but rather the political candidate saying that amount should be used elsewhere instead. That's how politics ruined it. It wasn't because it cost too much. As the initial post states, the Packers bring in TONS of revenue. Renaming a sign shouldn't be an issue and once the election garbage is over, it'll probably happen within a year or two of the elected's term.

In other words, some bitchass politician figured they could use a gesture that shouldn't be debated as a tool for their being elected. If I could remember whom that was, I'd cast an ignorant vote in spite of them. Purely out of their blatant utter idiotic ignorance of what the Packers do for, not just Green Bay, but for the whole damn state of Wisconsin!

Ted Thompson fishes on a regular basis.

I think Thompson Lake sounds better than Thompson Way, Ave, Dr, etc...

did Ron Wolf get anything named after him?

with Thompson white hair maybe a snow top mountain might be something good to name after him

Also I thought about maybe renaming the local airport? But that's named after the first aviator from Brown County to lose his life in his country's service...

Wolf has the Wolf River!!

Nah, I don't think Ron Wolf had anything, but I feel he should too.

Wolf, Thompson, McCarthy, Favre and Rodgers. As a person, I understand why Holmgren left, but as a fan it pisses me off. Packers had a good thing going and he bailed and left us fans with ... Ray, frickin, Rhodes. Okay, so that's on Ron Wolf, but if Holmgren had stayed, it wouldn't have happened!

See why bother naming a street after any of them.. they own their place in Packer history.. and everyone (yes even the most belligerent Viking or Bears fan :-" ) knows the Packers history.

If you must do some sort of statue or landmark type decor instead of altering the navigation system of a city.

Not to mention it will affect my Garmin and cost me money to update. [palm]

If it is a new road.. fine.. but renaming a random road around the stadium district.. just to match another mistake in time.. doesn't seem logical.

Zero2Cool (30-May) : Bears are the first team to be selected for Hard Knocks

Zero2Cool (13-May) : Sources spoke of many, many times last summer where Hackett called a play, then Rodgers changed it completely at the line
Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : I really don't know lol. I don't see him getting blown up.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : -3 buwahhhahaaha
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : 4th
Zero2Cool (9-May) : because he's 1st
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
