I came across a website that has a list of oxymorons. I always get a kick out of them. I think we had something similar to this in the past but don't feel like searching for it. So I thought I would start a new one.

Just a few from the letter "A" that I liked.

Accidentally on Purpose
Act Naturally
Affirmative action (looks like a political jab to me.)
agree to disagree
Airline Food
all alone
alltogether separate
alone in a crowd

looks like people submitted these and many others whether or not they are really oxymorons.

When taken literally all but Affirmative Action seem to by oxymorons but obviously some of them are figures of speech, or a result of shitty grammar.

Oxymoron, eh?

Another interesting term is pleonasm, the use of more words or word-parts than is necessary for clear expression... or being redundant if you will.

Some prime examples are:

dumbass DakotaT

redneck Packers fan

blissfully-ignorant Zero2Cool

idiotic cheesehead

inbred Packers fan

numbnuts DakotaT......oops, being redundant again.
