According to P.F.T. Kuhn is out for Sundays game. When did he get injuried?
(Source: Profootball Talk Rumour Mill)

Jaguars at Packers

You already know that running back Maurice Jones-Drew has been ruled out and the Jaguars will also be without defensive back Dwight Lowery. Wide receiver Laurent Robinson is questionable in his attempt to return from a concussion, while quarterback Blaine Gabbert is probable to start after injuring his non-throwing shoulder. The Packers ruled out fullback John Kuhn, cornerback Sam Shields, linebacker Nick Perry and wide receiver Greg Jennings. Defensive tackle B.J. Raji is probable to play after missing the last two weeks and wide receiver Jordy Nelson will be a game-time decision.

I'm really getting sick of this game the Packers play with injury reporting.

Shields is out YET AGAIN, with a simple "kick to the shin?" Really? God damn, I hope that's nothing serious.

Here's the latest on the PUP squad:

JSO

Coach Mike McCarthy wouldn't say it, but second-year tackle Derek Sherrod is headed for injured reserve.

The Packers have one more week before they have to make a decision on Sherrod, currently on the physically unable to perform list following surgery to repair a broken tibia suffered last December. Sherrod has not taken part in any football activitiy since breaking his leg against Kansas City and it doesn't appear he's close to being back..

"Derek is, he’s not ready," McCarthy said. "That’s really all I can tell you. I know he’s frustrated. But we all saw the injury. It was a serious injury, definitely something that we’re not going to rush back. We’ll give him every opportunity, but he’s just not ready yet."

Nowhere do they EVER give ANY indication as to whether this is a bone repair issue, or an issue of him getting back into football shape after returning from the broken leg.

Looks like Quarless and Zombo should be back though.

Two other PUP members, TE Andrew Quarless and LB Frank Zombo, have been practicing the last two weeks and appear close to returning. Quarless is coming off a torn ACL and MCL and Zombo is returning from a hamstring injury.

McCarthy said a decision wouldn't be made on their status until next week when their eligibility on PUP ends.

On the other hand, maybe they'll use Starks as a FB.

We could have Starks and Green in the backfield at the same time.

Anyways... Would we just use Crabtree in his place?

I expect a lot of one back, and motioning Crabby in the backfield. So we don't have to change the gameplan that much.

I'll miss Kuhn, even for this game.

Kuhn played 23 offensive plays. 34%. They will be able to fill in with Crabtree and other formations.

The whole team except Aaron Rodgers and Mason Crosby could go down with injuries...

The Packers would still beat the Jags.

Crosby would finish the game with 42 receptions for 469 yards.

But GB don't need no stinking 3rd downs. They will only have 1st downs, 2nd downs and touch downs. [grin1]
