Is it just me or does it seem like this guy is just a punk?

The first blowup came late in the second quarter, when the Packers had a chance to take a double-digit lead. Leading 10-7 and facing a third-and-goal at the Jaguars 5-yard line, the Packers were in prime position. They had the benefit of a Jacksonville timeout with 1:28 remaining to set their play call. Yet somewhere between McCarthys mouth and tight end Jermichael Finleys ears, the call was lost on the rookie tight end. He didnt know where to line up and went from one side of the formation to the other. With the play out of sync even before the snap, Rodgers dumped the ball off to his other tight end, Donald Lee, who barely got back to the line of scrimmage.

We should be set and ready to go there, McCarthy said. Not being lined up initially factored into the (result of) the play. Thats why were kicking field goals instead of scoring touchdowns.

When the field-goal unit came on, Rodgers gave Finley an earful.

It wasnt just Jermichael, Rodgers said. There were multiple plays where we had either the wrong formation, or part of the call was left out or guys didnt hear something they should have or I didnt say it.

Finley stayed on the field to block for Mason Crosbys 23-yard field goal, but on his way to the sideline, McCarthy met him on the field and followed him toward the far end of the bench, where Finley was supposed to join the kickoff unit. When he got there, special teams assistant Shawn Slocum waved off Finley.

Finley, who earlier in the season angered the coaches when he said he wasnt be used correctly and also criticized Rodgers, again deflected the blame.

It was really just miscommunication with the play call, Finley said. It wasnt on me at all.

When asked what McCarthy said to him, Finley said: Just to get down there on kickoff. He said, Well fix it tomorrow. But we needed this game.

Yea, I'm starting to not care for this guy at all, he does seem like a punk. Full of himself and he aint even anything yet. He's lucky he even has a job still, we'll see after this season.

LOL at thinking we're going to give up on a third round pick that is still just 21 years old.

Honestly, he's got a lot of growing up to do. He still hasn't understood McCarthy's call for accountability.

He's got a load of talent though, if he ever gets it all together he'll be a real dangerous player.

You'll really like this one then:

"I guess they didn't know what we went over and discussed about lining up over here and over there."

What Finley said after being asked why players like Greg Jennings and Aaron Rodgers were motioning for Finley to switch sides.

Un-frickin-believable.

I'm willing to bet that Finley was supposed to react to the coverage, which meant going in motion to the other side. He didn't recognize the coverage, and players like Greg and Aaron were trying to get him to do what he should've done based on the coverage.

He might have alot of growing up to do, but this stuff is even unacceptable in College. These are HS mistakes he's making.

I guess he's one of those TO, Shannon Sharpe etc. receivers. As long as he's playing like this, everyone will hate him. If he gets really good, everyone will be in love with him and his 'humerous remarks'.

If those remarks aren't taken out of context (always questionable with the Green Bay media), they represent a benchable offense, to be sure. For a rookie who hasn't accomplished jack this season to be calling out some of the most experienced veterans on the team is laughable at best.

Didn't the announcers say something afterwards about the Packers having some technical problems with their headset? Maybe that factored into it as well. At any rate, Rodgers should've called timeout.

Finley does seem to have plenty of jerk potential, especially for a player who has yet to do much of anything. He did throw a good block on a running play one time, which was encouraging. Hopefully he will do some growing up, because he does appear to have some talent.

The announcers mentioned a "communication breakdown"; I don't remember them discussing a headset failure specifically.
