Funny thing is, they were Favre's bitches too. Would like to see us get ahead of the Bears in the all time series while Aaron is playing.

🇦🇷 isn't motivated. I wish he wouldn't have won that MVP award a few years back.

Rapid reaction.. I think the Packers invited the Bears to run the ball.. almost begged them to do so. They set the backers deep.. by formation and alignments almost created natural gaps to run through. Packers were playing pass first with pass rush over playing the run in trying to limit run lanes.

Why?

I think it two fold.. I think they would rather have the Bears grind out scores on the ground than letting the receivers get rolling yesterday. Not saying the Packers had a choice because their run defense is good, but I think they didn't try and stop the running game. And I think for the Bears it worked, it made Cutler play a patient game.. and when he had to start pressing, you could see Cutler devolve into... well.. Jay Cutler. There is a reason he will never hoist the Lombardi... much like a guy like McNabb never did. They don't have the mental composure to deal with being pressed. We got enough heat on him throughout the game to not let him settle in.. and once they got down.. it was game on for the real Jay Cutler.

I think the Packers are limited this season in terms of success.. I think unless they can get someone to step up and become a true ass kicking nose tackle that can anchor a defense.. they are going to be susceptible to being ran on.. I think they can generate enough pass rush and play pass defense well enough to win games. But we are a ass kicker in the middle of the line from being a true defensive presences.. that a we really either need to find a guy that can match up and take away an above average TE away.. imagine if we have to play Jimmy or Vernon again.

Lattimore I think is the best option we have in the middle right now.. Hawk is solid but is not a physically intimidating player.. coverage in not a strength... and he rarely is aggressive in the run stop. Lattimore flashed the ability to be aggressive, shoot some gaps and make a play yesterday.. I think he is progressing. Elliot played better in spot duty than Perry.. so I think we can progress into 3 or 4 deep on the edges.. but in the middle.. yikes. The couple plays Barrington was in.. man did he get washed out.

We have a very funny OL. Very good at pass blocking but very poor run blocking.

We have literally NEVER had good pass blocking in the Aaron Rodgers era. He has, however, made do - scrambling away from pressure which is virtually always there. True, the run blocking is usually shitty too, but Rodgers is the greatest QB in the league despite such adverse conditions. Every time I see Peyton or Brees (most of the time) or Brady (before this season), I just WISH we had O Line protection like those guys get for Aaron Rodgers.

Which should be most of them like this.

You knew beforehand that, if Rodgers and the rest of the Offense got going, Cutler and company wouldn't be able to keep up. You play bend, but don't break and hope that Cutler eventually has to start slinging it deep. Get some turnovers in the process.

A part from the defence getting demolished at the start, that looked like a decent strategy, seeing our D has been far from impressive.

I figure that, as long as you can keep the offense going this way and the defence at least shows up a bit, you win another 8, with the other 4 games against the Saints, Eagles, Pats and Lions becoming ridiculous scoring games.

Of course, that's asuming they keep playing like this. Which is, as far as the offense goes, nearly impossible to keep up. Maybe the D steps up for a couple of games just like they did in '09, when they gave up 47 points in two games, followed up by 3 in two games, then reverting to 76 in the two games after that.

I think John Lynch brought up a great point talking about our running game. He said that Lacy isn't getting any calls that allow him to run down hill. Most of the play calls require him to be patient and wait on something to open up, when that isn't his style. He needs to have down hill power run plays called for him, because he doesn't always have that get up and go speed to make it through a hole like that.

Where did Pickett sign again? It will be interesting to see how well he plays. Maybe he was out of shape or something.

As for covering TEs, maybe Richardson can become that guy. He's got the size. Lattimore seems rangy too. Hawk can't cover, but I thought he had a very solid game yesterday. He was making tackles in the open field, without getting dragged for an extra 5.

DuJuan has the potential to be deadly on screens, but we all know that. I won't belabor that point.
