“The back judge threw his flag for defensive pass interference,” Morelli told pool reporter Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com. “We got information from another official from a different angle that thought the contact was minimal and didn’t warrant pass interference. He thought it was face guarding.”

We all know Jerry and the NFL will make more money from merchandizing if the Cowboys advanced. So our team has to be extra careful not to shit themselves this week.

In a way it helps us. Kinda seemed like Detoilet was actually the better team today. I just hope the Packers are good merchandizers.

They can't explain away why Dez Bryant didn't get an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for running on the field. They also can't explain away all the no calls for pass interference on Dallas' last scoring drive. Absolutely horrible. The NFL has now become the WWE with pre-determined outcomes. So we'll be seeing Green Bay at Seattle in two weeks.

It is a little thing, but this is a good thing for the Packers.

N.F.L. Officiating will now be under a microscope next week in Green Bay because there is an overwhelming surge of belief by the general public, that the non- call was a conspiracy to ensure the Cowboys' merchandising revenue machine marches on. Now.. Throw in the well documented story and photos of the Cowboy party bus with head of officiating Dean Blandino, getting off it?

Well that gentlemen... Ensures, the game next week will be officiated in a fair and consistent manner.

This is a good thing. I recon.

When the officials take over a game like they did last night and dictate the outcome it turns my stomach.
If it wasn't for my beloved Packers I would turn my back on the NFL and walk away.

Personally I think picking the flag up was the right call. No where in the rules do defenders have to be looking back and playing the ball. Something Aikman and Buck apparently need to learn. There was more offensive PI and a facemask on that play as well.

Up to this weekend, I thought face guarding was illegal.

At the beginning of the broadcast, Mike Pereira was talking about this not being a 'crew' of officials and rather a set of individual officials working together for the first time. Is this what happens when rather than the NFL allowing a crew that has worked all season together to stay together, it picks higher ranking individual officials and puts them together?

I don't understand this philosophy. I can't see how having high rated officials that haven't worked together can be better than the 'best crew' of officials that has worked all year long.

The screw up on this play was making the call to quickly before having all the information.

That had never worked together. The referee probably had no view of the play so he is forced to make a decision based on the input from 2 other officials. That he hasn't worked with. Doesn't know their communication style. So the referee heard from the back judge and was told penalty on # . The referee then proceeded to announce the penalty. Evidently then, the Side Judge finally got involved. Either there was a technology screw up or the Side Judge just didn't speak up in a timely enough manner for what the Ref was used to from his crew.

So a Pro Bowl team of high ranking players is better than the Packers? A Pro Bowl team couldn't even beat the Buccaneers. There is a value to a team working together. Officiating is no different.
