I guess you don't see that there is a difference between what is clearly a paid advertisement and leading the public to believe you're putting on displays of patriotism because you care about the military and want to "honor" them. It is not honoring when you're paid to do it.

It's an honor when a young lady accepts your request for a date. It is a dishonor when a prostitute takes your money for one but you guys don't seem to be able to reconcile huge differences in approaches.

As for Ted Thompson, you choose not to get it... you guys constantly credit him for things that are actually the opposite of reality. Why can't I choose to be like you guys and blame him for something that he doesn't deserve blame for? It's no different than what you do it's just in reverse. Again, you don't see the differences just like in the paid vs. not paid thing. There is a HUGE difference.

Take your date home to mom and she's all happy thinking you found a nice girl...then tell her later she was actually a whore you paid to be on your arm at the get together. Is mama going to think the same about it? You guys sure want to think the same about what the Packers did. None of you knew those oh so patriotic displays were really paid infomercials. It did your heart good to see our org be so honoring to our military. We come to find out there was no honor in it at all...only money. Money whoring as I think nerd would probably call it. Yet, you want to say it's not an issue...there's nothing wrong with it even though what you thought is light years from reality. There is some irony in that all by itself but it's surely lost on you.

Honestly, I'm amazed at how you guys look at things. The things you don't see.

Don't be obtuse. You know exactly what I'm referring to. You like the replies counter to mine in this regard with regularity.

It's interesting that in Chris Christie has responded to this story out east and in Texas a senator is demanding answers but not here in Green Bay. It's okay because it's the Packers. If it wasn't the Packers, I'm sure the thinking on this would be vastly different but that's where objectivity comes into play.

Ted Thompson the great drafter for the ages. Yup. Crown him! Crown his A**! Nope, nobody here does that...nobody. Everyone here has TT's role in our success measured out right down the middle? Ha. That's great stuff.

I don't need your platform. You banned me for 5 days for using an old Ken Gernander quote. The guy was on TV and was asked what he was thinking about during his long scoreless drought on the ice? He retorts: razor blades, ropes. Hysterical. I use that here and your Ted Thompson cult members run off an use the report function for the horror of that? That? Is this kindergarten? Really? I know you all love the teacher and want to bring her a shiny apple every day to curry favor with her and be like everyone else, but I don't need to play such games.

Ban me again... you are obtuse. Seriously. I do the exact thing you and the cult members do all the time. Oh, it's official Ted Thompson is good! Ted Thompson is awesome. What a great draft. What a stellar drafter. We're so lucky to have Ted Thompson as GM. Most teams would kill to have our GM. None of those things are reality based. None of them. When I ask you to prove how great he is there is crickets and total avoidance. It's cute. You ask me to provide you with things that you already know...I reluctantly oblige to play along with your charade and you still think I haven't answered.

You guys have no sense of humor. Me bagging on Ted Thompson is akin to making fun of your mother. He GM's a team you watch on TV.

There are some very respectable thinking individuals here but the overall weight of who you have here is a group of Packers yes men. It's nauseating. Yup, I know, I'm nauseating because I have to scream loud to be heard in the sea of silliness you have going on here.

I'm definitely in the wrong church wrong pew here. There is little thinking going on here. It should be nothing but Ted Thompson is great...the Packers are great. You should just have those two topics and have people add to them as another way to praise either hits you. I wanted to be a divergent voice here because it's sorely needed. This place is mush and milquetoast and I think you know that Kevin but you don't want to offend your rank and file here. I get it but it's kinda sad.

I still think if tax payers want to be upset they should really be more upset with National Guard and US Army for sponsoring cars going in circles than this. Although, National Guard did drop their sponsorship of Dale Earnhardt Jr after last season. Nationwide is his is primary sponsor now.

If I remember correctly, before the games when troops are honored, it is announced that it is being done in partnership with whatever specific branch of the armed services. Nothing is hidden.

This is another example of piss poor reporting by the media today.

If I could explain WHY they were in turn responsible in part or whole for the Packers taking money for this, fantastic! Even if you completely disagreed with my reasoning, I still drew what seemed to be a connection n my head.

It's not like the teams are saying "hey look what we are doing all on our own with money out of our own pocket without being reimbursed for it" but they are not going out of their way to say that the military is paying for it either. Its a far cry from bringing disgrace to the team.

I'd say on a scale of 1-10 (1 being a total non issue) 10 being and absolute disgrace I would put this at a 2 and the only reason I say that is because 19 other teams apparently didn't take money and I would like to think the Packers would be leading the way in issues like this. It disappoints me a little bit that they are not doing it on their own but I do understand the business side of it.
