I don't know everything about this, so my post comes more from personal insight than knowledge, but I think we can.

The best things that I can imagine is that our CBs are in man-press while the rest of the team plays mainly zone. But that may be quite hard to actually do. I asume Nonstop (Where is he? I actually haven't seem him for a day or two), Pack93 or AADP knows more about this.

yea i really hope that we still do press man-man, that has been very successful, and doesnt the rest of the team play zone anyway, except for occasional double teaming by safties?

Capers said in his press conference that he believes in mixing it up to confuse the QB and/or whole offense and keep them off balance.

I'm sure it will still be done...just not exclusively.

From what I have read, it could be played either way or variations thereof.
Dom Capers and his defensive assistants, I'm sure will come up with the plan as training camp evolves.

This has been on my mind since Al Harris considered that he might be done in Green Bay. I think he saw the rift in the D coaching staff and foresaw that they may be headed to the 3-4 and felt that he might not fit that scheme.

I would expect less true Man to Man, but I would not expect the bump coverage to stop.

They can still get up to the line and jam the WR without having to be singled in Man coverage. Jam and drop into the zone.

I've got a question, most of the games if I remember correctly we go burned on zone coverage right? So how would a 3-4 defense be more effective with zone with only 3 rushers ... then a 4-3 where you've got 4 rushers putting pressure to the opposing QB.

If we look at it like that 3-4 defense would be giving the QB to much time for him to find the gap's open? Don't you guys think.

I'm not saying I'm right, but that's how I see it. If anyone can explain me the right way if the way I'm thinking is wrong, I would greatly appreciate it.

I hope we stay man to man. IMO we have one of the best secondaries out there. Al Harris and woodson make create coverage guys.

I don't think it is that coverage got beat because of zone or man coverage. It was beat because for the most part the QB had to much time. I believe they are thinking that switching for the 3-4 will allow the front 7 of the Dline to be more aggressive rushing the passer, hopefully getting more pressure, thus reducing the time to beat the secondary.

Very seldom will we rush only three. It might start out looking like that but they will bring somebody from the inside or outside and often more than four. Thats what makes pass protection so difficult because you see three to begin with and they shuffle around and one or two other guys are coming but you don't know where from.

The problem I saw with Sanders defense was everybody started from the same spot and his blitz schemes were in every opposing teams scout report and they knew where it was coming from. The biggest reason a blitz is successful or not is not because more guys are rushing the passer. It's because it was disguised or fooled the offensive line in where it came from.

That's why I felt guys like Hawk got a bad rap and also why I think you will see better results in Capers defense. Hawk was not successful on blitzes but what I saw was an offense prepared for it and a blocker ready when he or another LB blitzed.

The most exotic thing I ever saw out of Sanders was blitzing two guys through the same gap figuring the first guy would get blocked and the second would not but that hardly ever worked either.

Zero2Cool (9h) : Sources spoke of many, many times last summer where Hackett called a play, then Rodgers changed it completely at the line
Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.

Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : Bust it is then
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Context. Sounds like Myers won't be cross-trained. C or bust.
