Saw my new heart doc yesterday. REALLY nice guy, and he has a sense of humor! BIG plus in my view.
Anyway..........i THOUGHT we were gonna set up the "stress test". But i don't have to have a stress test.
.........he says he's 80% sure i have at least one heart blockage. So, lucky me, i get to go to Columbia Hospital tomorrow (Friday) for a heart catherization.
He said if there's less then 3 blockages, he can probably fix it rather easily.
If more then that, or really bad, then we have to talk open heart surgery.

Crap.........oh well, he said he could be wrong!~ Maybe he will get in there, and everything will be ok.
Anyway........he wanted to get this done ASAP, thus the hurry up to get it done Friday.
Had me kind of scared.......you KNOW it's bad when i let the doctor say "You have "angina".............and i didn't make a joke out of that line!!! LOLOL!!!! :thumbleft:

Well, Alan... We can't let you see that doc again unless armed with a good joke for him:

In a car garage,
where a famous heart surgeon was waiting for the service manager to take a look at his Mercedes, there was a loud- mouthed mechanic who was removing the cylinder heads from the motor of a car. He saw the surgeon waiting and lured him into an argument.

He asked the doc after straightening up and wiping his hands on a rag, "Look at this car i'm working on. I also open hearts, take valves out, grind them, put in new parts, and when I finish this baby will purr like a kitten. So how come you get the big bucks, when you and I are doing basically the same work?"

The surgeon very calmly leaned over and whispered to the loudmouth mechanic,

"Try doing it with the engine running."

Good luck, my friend!

No worries! I know where you can get a new heart and all you need is an old broom to pay for it. :D

Well that sucks.. but hopefully they have caught it in time and they deal with it swiftly..

Good luck... hopefully they don't find an extra block of cheddar in a valve..

Good luck Alan. Think positive about the whole situation. Things always have a way of turning out good. You said "one" heart blockage." How many hearts ya got, buddy? (just joking)

If push comes to shove and you need some real help, let me know. The Heart Institute of The Rockies here in Missoula is one of the top 3 in the world. Several big name people have come here to have heart surgery and they have all been impressed with the care and compassion given to them. Even David Letterman had heart surgery here.

But, Columbia Hospital is great too. I had several broken bones re-connected there in my youth, and my Mom lives just a few blocks from there on Prospect Ave. Hey, I'll tell her your coming and she can set you and LJ up for some Poker Nights at St. John's on the Lake. Just watch out for those big cranes that are all around the new complex at Columbia/St. Mary's........they may mistake you for some girdders and lift you up and weld/bolt you into the 10th floor somewhere.

My prayers are with you Alan. God Bless.

I have alot of trust in both modern medical treatment and your ability to bounce back from this.

The best of luck to you, Cheesey!

Thank you all for the kind words (and jokes!)
I have a hospital only about 8 or 9 miles away (St. Mary's, Ozaukee) but my doc doesn't want me there. He doesn't like the quality of care there. So the guy really seems to care. Funny thing is, he kind of looks like the actor Jeff Goldblum. And his name is DR. Weisman.
I guess i NEED a "Wiseman" to fix this one!
So i have to go to Columbia to get it done. Have to be there at noon, with the procedure at 2pm.
I don't know if i have to stay over night, or if i can go home. I guess it depends on what they find.

beast (3h) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
Mucky Tundra (18h) : Bust it is then
Zero2Cool (20h) : Context. Sounds like Myers won't be cross-trained. C or bust.
Mucky Tundra (20h) : @BookOfEli_NFL Packers pass game coordinator, Jason Vrable said that Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks shared a placed in Florida while train
Mucky Tundra (20h) : For now...

beast (8-May) : It was confusing with two DB Anthony Johnson anyways
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers actually had Ray Lewis on the phone.
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers wanted to draft Ray Lewis. Ravens stole him.

Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : could*
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Safeties should learn from Xavier.
dhazer (29-Apr) : And what about grabbing a Gilmore or Howard at CB ? Those are all Free Agents left
