Because until we've seen at least four games, no one can say we are good or bad without looking foolish. We have no idea what's going to happen. None. It's easier to be negative because there's 31 chances of being right. It takes balls to say you're gonna be the one champion at the end.

We wait. Watch. Evaluate what you see. Preseason is bullcoocoo

I think House will be an average outside cb, and I think Rollins/Randall will be somewhere between good-great at playing slot CB. So one of the two or King needs to step up as the 2nd outside CB and they're set.

For the most part it doesn't matter, the success of our secondary is dependent on the defensive front being able to get more consistent pressure than it did last year.

THe DBs were so bad last year that they needed both safeties to help the CBs and they couldn't do much else. I think if we get at least 1 CB who we can trust in man coverage consistnetly this year it'll have a huge positive impact.

What always concerns me with our defense is the crossing routes on 3rd downs. We get beat so often either in front of the LBers or behind them. I don't know what it is but that is where I'm hoping the defense improves. If Jones can play that LB/SS on those passing downs it should help give us some greater coverage on those type plays.

There's a CHANCE that will improve with the young safeties, but it's more likely that it will continue to be an issue. Things like that are likely a schematic and coaching issue, so until we see the Packers consistently defending the middle of the field, it's a reasonable assumption to expect similar results. The burden of proofs is on the Packers, because recent history is not on their side. Different players, similar results. The common denominators remain the same with the scheme and coaching staff.

I'm confident the Packers will make the playoffs and I'll continue to have little to no faith in the Packers defense stepping up when it matters most against the QBs that actually matter. I have no problem standing by that statement. If the Packers win the Super Bowl, it will largely be because of the offense. Hopefully the defense can at least be decent, because it's unlikely it will be much more, especially once the injuries start.

And between the two of them adjust so it isn't a hole all the time.

Or else they want to leave it open more, perhaps they are doing it to try and generate more interceptions with passes over the middle. If that is the case, its not working.

Also the amount of times we play nickel or dime against heavy formations and get gashed in the run against teams with a good running game.
