Didn't realize that Jake Ryan was out most of the 2nd half leaving Josh Jones playing ILB in his place. so we have Safeties playing LB and CB. Ha Ha with 76 snaps and Martinez with 75 were some work horses.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

My silver lining is going to be the same every week: Rodgers standing behind center next season with Saquon Barkley next to him.

That is it. If you looking at the Stat line for yards the D was terrible, but man you can't lose the ToP that bad. However.....our 3rd and long D was absolutely cringe worthy and just frustrates the hell out of me. Our pass rush needs to get home quicker and we cannot be giving 5 yards off the ball on the LoS.

How many easy 3rd and 8,10, and even 15+ yard first downs do you give away before figuring out it isn't working? When the entire back end plays a scheme so poorly so often it's time to move on to something else. For the Packers DB's the soft zone is obviously the anti- " putting players in the best position to succeed" scenario.

Like Kanata says it's frustrating and for me the lack of aggressiveness on O and D is maddening. Right now this team is playing on it's heals and the coaches best pick up on it quick because the opponents smell blood in the water and they are going to come after them on both sides of the ball.

I surely hope we see a different Green Bay Packer mindset against Detroit. Attack, eat, or, be eaten, because that's what were looking at. No one fears us and as long as we lay back in wait no one has too.

One possible silver lining of this fiasco: the injury might ironically help extend Rodgers' longevity. When he went down, he was the second most sacked quarterback in the league. By sitting the rest of the season, he is being spared a lot of wear and tear. Sure he may or may not come back with the same kind of rocket arm he had before, but his mobility shouldn't be significantly impaired, and if he works on his touch (I think he's always had a tendency to throw too hard on the short and medium routes -- hence all the drops on the easy passes), there's no reason why he shouldn't be able to mount more of a Bradyesque style of attack and march the offense up and down the field that way. If management can find away to put a serviceable offensive line around him so that he doesn't have to constantly extend plays on his own, perhaps he'll have an extra chance or two to bring home a Lombardi Trophy, instead of slowly and inexorably being worn down by all the hits he's taken over his career.

Seriously, has any quarterback taken more sacks than Rodgers since 2008? It's amazing how few games he's missed overall.

dfosterf (1-May) : Not going to be shocked if Gilmore goes to the Lions.
dfosterf (1-May) : I hear you dhazer, but my guess would be Gilmore Colts and Howard Vikings from what little has been reported.
Mucky Tundra (30-Apr) : S learn from McKinney who learns from Hafley who learns from the fans. Guaranteed Super Bowl
Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : could*
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Safeties should learn from Xavier.
dhazer (29-Apr) : And what about grabbing a Gilmore or Howard at CB ? Those are all Free Agents left
dhazer (29-Apr) : out of curiosity do they try and sign Simmons or Hyde to let these young safeties learn from, they can't be day 1 starters.

dfosterf (28-Apr) : MLF said Kingsley Enagbare did NOT tear his ACL and did NOT require surgery, and that he is "looking good" for the 2024 season!
beast (28-Apr) : T.O. son signs with the 49ers
Mucky Tundra (28-Apr) : damn those vikings
beast (27-Apr) : UDFA Vikings sign TE – Trey Knox, South Carolina
beast (27-Apr) : Kitchen was all high from Miami, he was more lucky than talented in 2022 and it showed in 2023
beast (27-Apr) : Reportedly Packers have UDFAs Jennings and Jones
beast (27-Apr) : OL – Donovan Jennings, USF OT – Trente Jones, Michigan
TheKanataThrilla (27-Apr) : Interesting draft. A bit shocked that we didn't select an early CB. Definitely have Safety help. Pretty happy overall.
dhazer (27-Apr) : wow the last 2 picks are really stupid and probably will be special teams players Top 10 draft pick next year book it
TheKanataThrilla (27-Apr) : I think he ended up with a terrible RAS score
dhazer (27-Apr) : Anyone know what went on with Kitchens from Florida? At 1 point he was to be the Packers 1st round and he is way down the board now
