Barclay was placed on injured reserve with an ankle injury early this season and became eligible to be designated for return last week. THey want to bring him back, but they want to use the IR return slots for Spriggs and Rodgers.

They figure no one will want him. And if someone nabs him, they've got Murphy and McRay, two younger versions of him.

Why bring back Spriggs? He didn't show anything this preseason. I'd save the other spot for Murphy (of anyone else on the IR).
