I think weather has more to do with free agents coming here than race. Playing and living in cold isn't easy for some warm weather folks to deal with. If we had a dome, may e they'd be more enticed. I also think Packers previous GM was absolutely not a sales person at all. I think it was come visit, heres our offer, take it or leave it. There wasn't any wooing or nothing. Just my thoughts.

IMO, the issue is not so much race, but culture. I'm white, yet there are those of my own race that I do not care to socialize with or be like in any way. That said, I do not care to care to forced by social or political pressure to change my cultural preferences. It is not enough that I peacefully tolerate cultures that I don't agree with, I'm pressured to rebuke one for another. To accept what I may feel are lower moral/social standards in order to appease a culture that I don't agree with.

Wars have been and still are fought because one culture wants everyone else to believe as they do. Instead of living in peace, go to war to try to impose their culture upon another people/country. It has been the case for thousands of years with religions, races, countries, and even next door neighbors.

Everyone wants to feel wanted and appreciated at work. It's mostly about money, but it's also about the right situation.

Sorry to disagree. Too many times I see people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton blaming everyone except those actually responsible for bad actions.
I’m white, so I’m supposed to say it’s ok for certain people to use excuses to do bad things?
How many years have we seen reverse discrimination to some how make up for history? I and my ancestors never owned slaves.
In fact, they fought against slavery.

Look at the affect that things like rap music has had on people. Calling women “bitches and hos” and saying it’s ok to kill cops. Yet people like Tupac and Notorious BIG are treated like some kind of heroes. I say, “garbage in, garbage out”.
If you feed that kind of crap and that cops are all bad, constantly to people, what do you expect the outcome to be?
People killing each other over drugs, or being “dissed”, or because you want something they have. Or just because you WANT to. Where does that come from? It’s a collapse of our very moral fiber in this country.
Things will never improve between races if we keep telling people they SHOULD be pissed off constantly.
That makes them LOOK for trouble.

. . . when moving to a new city . . . it's more difficult for black people . . . to feel safe . . .

. . . the rate of white-on-white violent crime (12.0 per 1,000) was about four times higher than black-on-white violent crime (3.1 per 1,000). The rate of black-on-black crime (16.5 per 1,000) was more than five times higher than white-on-black violent crime (2.8 per 1,000). If blacks don't feel safe when moving into a community because they're worried about Big Bad Whitey, their fears are largely misplaced. Not that it's their fault exactly; humans in general tend to fear most those things that pose the least danger (remember the anthrax scare that killed a whopping five people nationwide?), all the while blithely ignoring the huge risks staring them right in the face (*cough* seasonal flu *cough*). The media does its very best to abet this unfortunate human failing. It makes its money reporting on the rare, the remarkable, and the terrifying.

But no good ever comes of discussions like this, and the topic bores me in general, so I'll bow out gracefully here.

I need a new career if you're able to post on a packers forum while in a meeting. Shit.

It's cool to intentionally mispronounce words in certain cultures, haven't you heard?

People like Al Sharpton and Reggie Jackson make their living off of racism, as does David Dukes. Keeping the pot stirred up is their way of keeping the spotlight on themselves and providing them with a recurring role in our national play.

As I already posted, differences in culture are the main reasons that too much disturbing behavior exist. It is really not so different from teens rejecting their parents by doing whatever they can that will disturb the older generation.

What does irritate me is how Black's and Latino's complain that there are to many of them in prison in proportion to Whites. I say change the culture and those numbers will fall, but ...

No culture or race is superior or inferior to another, but if disrespect for the laws and for others continue be taught, then little will change.
