I'm guessing from the CDC's website, they expect this to spread to everyone in the US.

My way of dealing with it was spending the day in the house, making corned beef and cabbage with red taters.
Then baking several dozen peanut butter cookies, sugar cookies, and anise cookies.
So coronavirus might not kill me, but my diabetes might!😂

Covid-19 is PANDEMIC! And the long term damage or mortality rates for the younger wont be known until it is over!

First, a person either respects life or they don’t. If one assigns greater importance to certain mortalities it is unmistakable that they’re pushing an intellectually dishonest agenda.

Second, citing Vietnam as “back to Normal” is pure misinformation.

Third, citing China being back to normal is outrageous. China built two 10K bed hospitals in 10 days in Wuhan and ordered 40K health care workers and scientists into the epicenter. Everywhere the virus popped up all travel was stopped, one could only move around if their prominently displayed smartphone displayed bright green. Entire hospitals were designated covid-19 or not. When this was not practical, isolation areas were created within hospitals, the covid/non-covid patients and staff never came in contact with one another at any time even in common areas like cafeterias. The isolation areas had strict protocols, so that health care workers were kept safe. EG, if they took their space suits off in a way that might cause them to be contaminated, they were not allowed back in, but rather they were tested and sent into the triage protocol described below.

Because everything was shut down; they easily commandeered all kinds of different facilities and installed medical facilities and isolation areas in them. They tested millions and millions. Patients in bad shape got a hospital bed; patients showing lesser various degrees of symptoms went to the various alternate facilities. People that were tested/suspected positive didn’t self-quarantine at home and potentially infect the rest of their damn family and neighbors, they went to a building and lived isolated for 14 days. People tested/suspected negative were sent to different facilities for 14 days just to make certain it was not a false negative.

China has Xi and many other brilliant forward-thinking leaders. And gave an incredible advantage to the US by providing their blueprint to defeat Covid-19.

But we are led by an Orange-menaced racist and a corrupt [Dem and Rep] Senate dumping stocks on insider info. And using this disaster to sell out the people and ship trillions to their corporate masters; while they toss a few shekels at the dumbass peasant thinking American, who says, “Oh thank you Pelosi, I love you, oh thank Trump, I love you, I have my $1000 I love you, you are so special, you have my vote.” MORONS!

Note: the day the orange buffoon unilaterally and clownishly announced chloroquine as a cure; the company doubled the damn price of the drug within hours. Today’s US corporation is an opportunist. Let me say this again to those who let corporations take over or G...MORONS!

Fourth, study Italy! In many areas they have stopped counting the dead. For 2 weeks in Florence people have been prohibited from going outside, you need a paper to demonstrate you are allowed out to go to the market or for another essential purpose. The US has done nothing close to this stringent, so it's predictable the spread will be worse in US than Italy.

Fifth, FYI: that Medium article was speciously written by a propagandist lunatic posing as an authority and has been pulled as dangerous misinformation. That’s why the link don’t work.

I’ll leave you with a Math lesson:

If one person infects two it takes 15 days to get the 24K cases we got in US from 1 case; 9 days later the entire US population has it and 10 days later over 8 billion, the world’s population, will be infected.

On March 2 a New Rochelle attorney tested positive, by March 11 they traced more than 50 infections to being caused by him, including the guy that drove him to the hospital.

This is not a 1 infects 2 issue. It's like having thousands of typhoid Mary's, so brace yourselves. Here’s the math in personal terms: unless something drastic happens most of the people that post or read this forum will get coronavirus and most will probably survive unless it mutates into something more deadly. But, some will survive with permanent lung scarring and weakened immune systems, etc. and some will die. Given that, what the hell constitutes an overreaction?
