If Raiders can get Rodgers for a 1st this year, conditional 3rd next year that can go up to 2nd based on Rodgers play time, I can't imagine them being like, nah, we good. Especially since Rodgers would would have a cap hit of something like $15.7 million dollars to them. This would allow the Raiders to get a good QB that rocks out with Adams, and they could use other means to land a stud QB of the future, or even bring Jarrett Stidham back (retain, not sure his status, whatever you get idea) and maybe he takes over? They also franchise tagged their RB and could ship him off for a QB of the future or draft pick.
There's just too many feasible and realistic options. Would Raiders rather just burn their 1st pick on the next Josh Allen? Yeah, hell yeah, who wouldn't? But what if they can get a future Hall of Fame QB who has probably another year or two of good to great play left him in with an All Pro WR like Adams?
I dunno. Honestly, I really believe Rodgers is deciding if he wants to retire vs play elsewhere. I believe he feels Packers want to go with Love. I've said this before and nothing coming out has changed my mind. Only supported my thinking. I would also add I do think Aaron and Jordan have a good relationship. I think some of that factors in too. He knows what's it like to sit behind someone for multiple years waiting for your chance. This shouldn't be twisted into Rodgers would retire so Love gets his chance. I'm saying I believe his friendship with Jordan plays a role, it might be tiny, but I believe it plays a role in his thinking.
We can say whatever we want about Aaron, but the guy, the person, the human ... he's good.
