Whom do you think the Packers best and worst picks from this draft will be?

Best picks  -
1.  the TEs  -  Both if healthy should be day 1 starters.   Strong work ethic and wonderlic scores would indicate they can pick up the offense ,
2.  Van Ness - He might take a half a season to feel his oats, but he has the talent and drive.
3.  Wicks WR will be the biggest surprise

Worst picks -
1. Clifford -  he is a clip board holder at best, no real pro-level ability
2. Wooden  - Meh, I just don't see it....just a guy

I find it difficult to think that the Packers will "regret" any picks especially from the 5th round on. The odds of players in the later rounds making the team or making a significant contribution are pretty low. They are simply taking a chance as all teams do.

The best selections
1. Jayden Reed
2. Lukas Van Ness
3. Tucker Kraft

Least likely to contribute:
1. Carrington Valentine
2. Grant DuBose

Hopefully Sean Clifford will only see the field to knee down if victory formations or mop up time in the 4th quarter when the Packers are multiple scores ahead. Gutey has no regret in selecting him.

DuBose has some juice. I'll take him out and put Clifford in.

It's a cop out to say Van Ess, but he is special from a physical standpoint. His 10-yard is scary good. My hope is he learns to be discipline and seals the edge against the run. I am confident he'll rush the passer with his physical tools, but sealing the edge against the run is critical. Had Clay Matthews learned how to do it in his career, I think he would have made the Hall of Fame. Preston Smith has always been really good at dong that. It's an underrated aspect of his game, so perhaps he can pass that onto Van Ess.

Dontayvion Wicks gives me a James Jones vibe. I suspect he dropped due to questions about his ability to separate at the next level, but he can make up for that with route running.

You can make a case that Colby Wooten is more polished than Van Ess. He just lacks the physical tools. I think he may emerge as a starter on the defensive line. I believe I heard a scout say he has the body to bulk up, so I imagine that could be in the cards for him.

I thought the dropped passes would of taken him off the board, because traditionally the Packers value hands, especially under Ted Thompson, but also Gute picking WR J'Mon Moore, whom could more just like Devante Adams but couldn't catch a cold if he went streaking after skinny dipping in the middle of the coldest Green Bay winter.

I believe Van Ness was labeled a LB when Packers drafted him and Wooden and Brooks were labeled DTs. Which I find interesting and I'm wondering if they'll be changing up the scheme up front, as these guys (and Wyatt) are more athletic penetrating types and not run clogging type, which makes me wonder if we're changing things up front.

Wooden has strong powerful hands, which Packers seem to love in pass rushers, and he's athletic for the inside, maybe not athletic enough for the outside edge rusher. But Wooden can pass rush, some concern on him holding up against double teams on the inside, but maybe we're going to a lot more one gap attacking style.

Van Ness was a DE at Iowa, but is now an OLB/Edge in the Packers D. Wooden is for sure a DT and he is a beast. Brooks I have to see more of.

Wooden is a me? I think he started off as a DE but he wasn't athletic enough and got moved to DT where he was athletic enough, and physical enough, but didn't necessarily have the weight/power to stop a double team or two gap. Then when injuries hit DE, they put him back out there. He's a tweener but might make a great penetrating DT or 3-4 DE.

From the little I've seen Brooks was fulltime DE in college but he's 300+ lbs, and totally getting moved to the interior in the NFL and was used that way at the Senior Bowl. I figure that transition (which not everyone can make), small school, shorter arms and very inconsistent in the run stopping game is why he dropped so far.... but he MIGHT become a pass rush specialist quickly, but still needs to work on the run stopping game and adjusting to DT.

One thing is absolutely clear, the Packers scouts sure do like strong powerful hands in their pass rushers, base on this draft and last year's draft, they want someone with power.

I'm actually wondering if we're going to see them tweak the defensive front... usually they grabbed two gap NTs, now they're grabbing a lot of one gap penetrating DT/DEs. I'm hoping we're going to see a more aggressive attacking style up front. Maybe using.some more 3-4 (or 5-2) fronts or looks.

For that ILB Walker will need to be able to cover the TE or slot WR, but coverage is supposed to be his best skill.

Also, if we don't use a single Tampa 2 coverage again, Berry needs to be fired (okay maybe not that extreme if the team does well) but this defensive scheme is meant for mixing and matching coverages to confuse the offense, with this scheme and with being an athletic coverage ILB, one would think you'd occasionally see a Tampa 2 zone drop, at least if you trust Walker. I'm not saying do it 10% of the time, nor 5% or not even once a game... but at least 5-10 times a season to try to catch the offense off guard, no way are they expecting it.

Best part is the draft is over. Worst part is the grades on kids who haven't even suited up.

I just wanna see them play. See them grow. The TE's and WR from Day Two are what I'm more excited about and that 7th round Safety.

Mucky Tundra (26m) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (1h) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (5h) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (5h) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
Mucky Tundra (21h) : Bust it is then
Zero2Cool (22h) : Context. Sounds like Myers won't be cross-trained. C or bust.
Mucky Tundra (22h) : @BookOfEli_NFL Packers pass game coordinator, Jason Vrable said that Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks shared a placed in Florida while train
Mucky Tundra (23h) : For now...
Zero2Cool (23h) : Packers go about evaluating their "best five," OL coach Luke Butkus makes on thing clear: "Josh Myers is our center."
beast (8-May) : Though I'm a bit surprised letting go of CBs, I thought we needed more not less
beast (8-May) : It was confusing with two DB Anthony Johnson anyways
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers actually had Ray Lewis on the phone.
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers wanted to draft Ray Lewis. Ravens stole him.

buckeyepackfan (6-May) : The Green Bay Packers have signed WR Julian Hicks, OL Lecitus Smith (luh-SEET-us) and WR Dimitri Stanley
Zero2Cool (6-May) : Petty, but it's annoying me how the NFL is making the schedule release an event.
Mucky Tundra (4-May) : @mattschneidman Matt LaFleur on how he tore his pec: “Got in a fight with the bench press. I lost.”
Zero2Cool (3-May) : Jordan Love CAN sign an extension as of today. Might tak weeks/months though
TheKanataThrilla (3-May) : Packers decline 5th year option for Stokes
Mucky Tundra (3-May) : @ProFootballTalk Jaylen Warren: Steelers' special teams coach has discussed Justin Fields returning kicks.
Zero2Cool (2-May) : Season officially ending tonight for Bucks ... sad face
Zero2Cool (2-May) : Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as out for tonight's game.
dfosterf (2-May) : Surprisingly low initially is my guess cap wise, but gonna pay the piper after that
dfosterf (2-May) : The number on Love is going to be brutal.
Zero2Cool (2-May) : May 3rd. Extension day for Jordan Love. (soonest)
Zero2Cool (1-May) : USFL MVP QB Alex McGough moved to WR. So that's why no WR drafted!
earthquake (1-May) : Packers draft starters at safety ever few years. Collins, Clinton-Dix, Savage
beast (1-May) : Why can't the rookies be a day 1 starter? Especially when we grabbed 3 of them at the position
dfosterf (1-May) : Not going to be shocked if Gilmore goes to the Lions.
dfosterf (1-May) : I hear you dhazer, but my guess would be Gilmore Colts and Howard Vikings from what little has been reported.
Mucky Tundra (30-Apr) : S learn from McKinney who learns from Hafley who learns from the fans. Guaranteed Super Bowl
Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : could*
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Safeties should learn from Xavier.
dhazer (29-Apr) : And what about grabbing a Gilmore or Howard at CB ? Those are all Free Agents left
dhazer (29-Apr) : out of curiosity do they try and sign Simmons or Hyde to let these young safeties learn from, they can't be day 1 starters.
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : I miss having Sam Shields.
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Not that he's making excuses, just pointing it out
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : That's for dang sure. Make our erratic kicker have no excuse!
packerfanoutwest (28-Apr) : having a great long snapper is gold
Zero2Cool (28-Apr) : LaFleur looking like he had some weight. Coachin will do that lol
Zero2Cool (28-Apr) : Thanks Mucky and whomever created topcos for each pick!
Zero2Cool (28-Apr) : Insane about Kingsley
dfosterf (28-Apr) : Putring it here so Mucky sees it. He was our guy!
dfosterf (28-Apr) : Bowden long snapper Wisconsin. Consensus best LS in college.
dfosterf (28-Apr) : We got Peter Bowde
dfosterf (28-Apr) : I personally interpret that as a partial tear that can be recovered from with rehab
dfosterf (28-Apr) : MLF said Kingsley Enagbare did NOT tear his ACL and did NOT require surgery, and that he is "looking good" for the 2024 season!
beast (28-Apr) : T.O. son signs with the 49ers
