Former University of Minnesota linebacker Aaron Hill, the new strength and conditioning coach for the Packers, has spent the last five seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.

I am sure it is necessary but I really like Chris Gizzi. He may not be the best S&C coach. I have admired him since he ran on the field carrying the flag after 9-11

I laugh when going on social media and read EVERY YEAR that The Packers have more injuries than every other team in The NFL, and it is all The Strength and Conditioning Coaches fault. Well they finally got their wish, Gizzi gets fired, and the problem is solved. No more injuries for The Packers! Lol
I was surprised to read that Christian Watson had to use his own money to explore options on solving his hamstring problems.
Good to hear The Packers are now paying for it.

They hired a younger guy, maybe he is more in tune with newer methods.

Shame The Packers used Gizzi as the fall guy to appease "The minions"

You make it sound like the Green Bay Packers forced him to get additional help on it and told him he had to foot the bill. Fake. News! Christian is being a professional, that's it man. No conspiracy here.

As for Chris Gizzi being the reason for the injuries. I doubt it. Will the new guy be a new voice and a change? Yeah, hopefully. One thing that is known about working out is you need to confuse muscles otherwise they plateau.

Pack should pay every nickel for his treatment. If he wants the guy to come home with him to rub his whatever muscles (not that there is anything wrong with that) 24/7... the Pack should pay for that too. Who gives a f---k what the Pack pays for as long as it doesn't impact the cap?

Dude (or girl?) can be the assistant achilles tendon blowup prevention coach.

The head one can go rub Aaron Jones

Erin Roberge was promoted from intern athletic trainer to full time assistant athletic trainer last February. She is the 22nd female AT in the league, and the first one in Green Bay. I watched a couple of videos on the female athletic trainer (promoted since) for the Tampa Bay Bucs.

The players really seem to listen to her and respond to her instruction, and frankly, her looks might have something to do with it, but admit that is speculation. I don't think it's a bad thing as far as getting players to buy in to your regimen if you also happen to be an attractive and fit female.

Unlike both our new head athletic trainer and Erin, the Tampa Bay bucs trainer/recovery coach has more of a scientific background than the traditional kinesiology pedigree the Pack (and many other teams) keep going with. I believe she has a bs in molecular biology, and an advanced degree in physical therapy from a medical college. It is in fact a different educational path than the people we keep hiring.
Erin is also attractive and fit, but I have not seen any videos of her in action.
Maral Javidifar is the name of the coach in Tampa.

Why should the Packers pay his salary AND for him voluntarily seeking help outside the organization? I don't understand why the Packers are being slandered for a choice Watson made.

It's fake/false to say he HAD to pay for it. He could have elected no additional options.

Nothing to be sorry bout. I'm easily confused bud! Haha.

If you go back and look at the NFLPA survey of the players last year, one of the critiques by "many players" was that the Packers were outsourcing physical therapists "due to understaffing" by the team.

How do we even know that Green Bay isn't paying for his seeking outside help. I read what he said about taking personal responsibility for his body, etc. but if I were him I'd drop the bill off on Mark Murphy's desk and see what happens, lol

This is from a long time ago now, but I remember when Punter Jon Ryan was trying to go to a special kicking guru.

First he requested for the Packers to pay for it. That was declined.

Then he requested permission to go to it, while paying for it himself, that got declined. He needed permission because he's under contract.

All this was pissing off the ST coordinator whom thought he needed no outside help. And they released Ryan.... and then as a FA he went to the Kicking Guru was better for it.

Meanwhile, the ST coordinator got to retire at the end of the year... as he rejected an inconsistent punter for a consistently bad punter. And it seemed to be about ego.
