This is an example of what is wrong with society. Anything to make a damn buck. 4% to charity? It should be all of it or whatever it is to offset the costs.

I don't knock those who are buying them, but I am knocking the one's making the product and only shelling out 4% ... that's just wrong.

Pathetic on how some people find any negative thing and put a twist on it to make people buy it. Oh look, a percent goes towards charity!! ooh buy this, buy this! It's using two unfortunate things together to make a dollar.

You gotta love a bunch of guys trying to make money off of something that hasn't even happened yet. Speculators make the world go around.

A sucker sure is born every minute.

In order to complete my fashion ensemble, I have opted to put on this silly, ridiculous, #4 armband, having paid 5 bucks for it, thinking that the money was going to cancer research.

I think it hits the exact tone I was looking for--fashion-wise."

Ha! Funny you should mention that. My wife and I were at the Fort McCoy PX yesterday looking at cheese hats, and we were both ridiculing the idiocy of them. I consider myself a rabid Packers fan -- I spend too many hours a day breaking down every conceivable angle of the Packers seasons -- but I would never stoop to wearing something so puerile as a freaking CHEESEHEAD, even if they were supposedly invented in La Crosse.

I have two. I use both of them to mark our territory at the bar.

ON the bar, not on my head. It's kind of a lion marking his turf, or a dog, or a cat.

THIS area is CHEESEY, and not in an especially nice -way--more of a don't even think of bringing your bare bullshit/vikes smack...whatever here--we are drinking, now.

Fellow puker fans to right and left move them to
their "outside" in order to graphically establish the perimeter.

They are also pretty decent conversation pieces, because most had never actually seen one before. Most were surprised at how "substantial" they are---(most thought light foam-foam)

They are also handy in this instance because if the perimeter is wide enough (usually is) we cheesey types get the requisite number of TV's, including volume...in front of us --bartenders know this stuff here.

They do have real utility, if employed properly.

Those who purchase them are not in the wrong, not at all. Not in my opinion. It's the ones' profiting off of two unfortunate circumstances that piss me off.

Feel free to buy them up and show your support. I think that is a good thing to do.

HEY!!!!!!
EVERYTHING "CHEESEY" is nice!!! :thumbleft:

Now........i have never owned a "cheesehead" and have only tried them on at the store, to see what it was like.
BUT-I like the fact that something that was said to make fun of us, was turned around and made fun of by US.
"Call us cheeseheads, will you? Then we will BE cheeseheads! And Bears, Vikings and Lions fans, we still have more Super Bowl trophies then all 3 of your teams combined! Chew on THAT while you are making fun of us!!!"

I for one think they are cool, yes, the ones making the product sure know how to make a profit, wished I would have thought about that. But I would have put ALL towards charity. But I will be very proud wearing my arm band and very proud putting that magnet on my car.
