I thought it was a pretty funny article. Now, with the retirement finalized (wink wink) it becomes a footnote in history.

I can't believe I missed all this. One of daughters had her tonsils out yesterday so I've been busy.

All I have to say is that I've been selfish in all this because I did not want him wearing purple period, and could care less about Brett's feelings.

Having Brett "stick it" to the Vikings one more time brings this warm, fuzzy feeling only a person hooked up to an I V and shot up with morphine can understand.

I've officially pissed off my good Viking fan buddies and they won't be talking to me for a couple days.

If the Vikings take Favre in after this, all pride and credibility is out the window FOREVER.

If Chilly 'N Co. take Favre in at some later point (unless their QB loses an arm or something), the fans in Minny should slap them senseless on the spot.

I've been on record saying that I think he's the best QB in NFL history, and I stand by that. BUT. He's also someone who simply cannot decide what he wants to do, and placing your fans' hopes/jeopardizing your team's chemistry on him at this point is football suicide.

It was already a long playoff run or bust season for Chilly - at this point I'm pretty sure he's toast if they don't win (not get in, WIN) the SB. Wilf wasn't popular to begin with; if they flop this season, it will be blamed on the Favre dalliance and he'll be a pariah.

They've got one chance, now: Somehow repair their current QBs' egos and hope they can get the job done. If that doesn't work, Chilly better hope that Andy Reid will let him go back and hold a clipboard in Philly.
