If penalties are coaching problems, someone explain to me how 1 player can have them and another not when they are coached by the same people.

Clifton has always been prone to jump, Tauscher almost never did. Some players commit them some don't. This officiating crew was terrible overall. They seemed like they wanted to throw a flag every time. Two crappy roughing the passer calls (one each way).

LOL. You're right, the refs are just out to get us. Thats why we have led the league in penalties since McCarthy has taken over. The refs hate McCarthy. Good call.

No they were pretty much out to get everybody, they called a shitload, but called them pretty evenly. I hate when they take over a game. If they want they can throw a flag every play, and some weeks they seem to try.

What exactly do you do to hold someone accountable? Pull them? The backup will just do worse.

If you think McCarthy isn't holding anybody accountable, then I don't see why he fired the entire defensive staff last winter.

Bench their ass. Fine their ass. Make them run until they fucking puke. Thats what the fuck I want McCarthy to do. If you think this team doesnt have a discipline problem then you have your head in the sand.

I'm tired of the fucking excuses. We were sloppy and flat today. And to me thats fucking unacceptabe. Word.

Flags are called on teams that lack FOCUS and DISCIPLINE. We lack both.

Sometimes I wish McCarthy would stop being so even keeled and get some fire in the belly.

I sometimes think the best thing some head coaches could do is refuse to talk to the media.

I like McCarthy. I think he's still a good coach (if not as good as I thought he was in 2007).

But I no longer pay any attention to what he says in press conferences. I don't know if it's the Ari Fleischer influence, or just an occupational disease for NFL head coaches in the ESPN age, but I just don't expect anything more than empty coach-speak and manager-ese from him in pressers.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
