Well....as bad as it was....we STILL shut them out. I'll take a 26-0 ugly win against a 3-0 good loss.

Detroit 24 Pack 21

Not happy about posting that but I don't think much is going to change for GB.
I hope I'm wrong but nothing I've heard during the bye week makes me believe it will. I would love to see everything start to come together on both sides of the ball this week and we get on a roll.

Well D way off at half time

Should be like 30-0 but damn what the hell is Clifton doing?

"longtimefan" wrote:

Should be 30 to 0 we haven't been able to get into the end zone since the first quarter and is anyone here happy about the way GB is playing? Tons of penalties and 5 sacks against 4 new Lions defensive linemen. Now Clifton is hurt again. If this was against a mediocre team we would be losing.

Wow that was about as frustrating of a shut out win as I have ever seen.

He did look quite impressive. Appeared to have all the fundamentals down. Pretty much the only O-lineman to have just that. He's really not as raw as I though he would be.

I don't know if he has to play all the snaps, but he sure was on fire this week. He was everywhere on the field. Great in coverage, getting some pressure, containing the outside run.... Ironic enough, he's showing exactly what we wanted out of AJ Hawk.

I like Chad. I hope it had something to do with being out of the rhytm. Especially the illegal formation calls where bogus. He was really not lining up a lot differently, if any, than he normally does. Next to that, take a look at the Vikings line like dakota said last time...

Grant was pretty impressive in the later portion of the game. It nearly looks like he doesn't get tired, whereas the defense does. Maybe a result of not running too much in the early parts of the game?

Honestly we did what we were suppose to do against a team without their starting QB and best palyer (Johnson) - win.

Obviously there are always areas for improvement but great win.

A shutout is a shutout. Its hard to do in teh NFL, against any team, even if its the Lions.

I still cant figure out why we didnt use jackson for more then 2 runs???

Whats the deal.

Bishop had a penalty on him. I think the guy is just too pumped too play; maybe if we was in for a few series then he would settle down and not get these rough calls on him.

Was hawk in at all? ... I see no tackles registered with him. I've been likeing hawk a bit more then barnett so far.

But of course my fav 2 ILBers are chillar and bishop(well I just want to dude to play so we can make a real analysis) ... when we are up by 20 why dont we use him?

I was hoping we would let rodgers get to 400+ yards... too bad.

Got to love the flee flicker but again only when we were up 20+ thats when we do the non standard grant up the middle play.

GG thou Ill take a win here ...

If I remember correctly, the line judge will say something to the OT if he feels he is lining up too far off the ball before he calls the penalty.
He doesn't even have to have his hand on the LOS. His head has to be in the mid section of the guard to his right and he still can't do that. Too bad Colledge doesn't glance to his left and tell him to get his fat butt up another foot.

Chad lines up so far off the line because he gets beat on the outside if he doesn't.

Just like the Minnesota tackles would if they don't do this. I think that it's more a matter of disguising it than not using it. I mean, it's working pretty well for Minnesota.

Well, my prediction was way off in terms of the absolute score, but it hardly feels like a blowout. The game raised more questions than it answers. And despite the victory, we're still 2-1/2 games back.

Mucky Tundra (14h) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (15h) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (19h) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (19h) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : Bust it is then
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Context. Sounds like Myers won't be cross-trained. C or bust.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : @BookOfEli_NFL Packers pass game coordinator, Jason Vrable said that Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks shared a placed in Florida while train
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : For now...
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers go about evaluating their "best five," OL coach Luke Butkus makes on thing clear: "Josh Myers is our center."
beast (8-May) : Though I'm a bit surprised letting go of CBs, I thought we needed more not less

Mucky Tundra (4-May) : @mattschneidman Matt LaFleur on how he tore his pec: “Got in a fight with the bench press. I lost.”
Zero2Cool (3-May) : Jordan Love CAN sign an extension as of today. Might tak weeks/months though

dfosterf (2-May) : Surprisingly low initially is my guess cap wise, but gonna pay the piper after that
dfosterf (2-May) : The number on Love is going to be brutal.
Zero2Cool (2-May) : May 3rd. Extension day for Jordan Love. (soonest)
Zero2Cool (1-May) : USFL MVP QB Alex McGough moved to WR. So that's why no WR drafted!
earthquake (1-May) : Packers draft starters at safety ever few years. Collins, Clinton-Dix, Savage
beast (1-May) : Why can't the rookies be a day 1 starter? Especially when we grabbed 3 of them at the position
dfosterf (1-May) : Not going to be shocked if Gilmore goes to the Lions.
dfosterf (1-May) : I hear you dhazer, but my guess would be Gilmore Colts and Howard Vikings from what little has been reported.
Mucky Tundra (30-Apr) : S learn from McKinney who learns from Hafley who learns from the fans. Guaranteed Super Bowl
Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : could*
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Safeties should learn from Xavier.
dhazer (29-Apr) : And what about grabbing a Gilmore or Howard at CB ? Those are all Free Agents left
dhazer (29-Apr) : out of curiosity do they try and sign Simmons or Hyde to let these young safeties learn from, they can't be day 1 starters.
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : I miss having Sam Shields.
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Not that he's making excuses, just pointing it out
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : That's for dang sure. Make our erratic kicker have no excuse!
packerfanoutwest (28-Apr) : having a great long snapper is gold
