Coach Mike McCarthy will speak with reporters shortly in the Lambeau Field media auditorium. We'll post the newsy stuff as it comes, so refresh for the latest.

* First, the injuries: Mark Tauscher had a knee sprain to the same knee he had surgery on. "Pat (McKenzie, team doctor) doesn't think it's a serious, long-term injury. He'll have a slight chance to play this week. At most would be a couple-week injury." Aaron Kampman suffered a concussion. "As far as his availabilty for this week's work, it's still up in the air."

* On offensive line: Decide after looking at film today, will look at all options. "I am not committed to a starting five today." Will take full week's worth to sort it out.

* On Rodgers taking long time to throw -- people not open? Passing game was not productive, or as productive as in the past. Bucs played lot of man-under/match coverage. Had lot of one-on-one opportunities, "and for whatever reason, we did not get that accomplished. I thought time and time again, particularly in the first three quarters, we had ample time. Really, our biggest pass-protection breakdowns were in the fourth quarter."

* OK with pass intercepted on deep throw to Jennings? OK with decision based on matchup of who Jennings was going to the post against. They were in quarters coverage. Thought Rodgers gave Jennings a catchable ball. "As far as a shot play ... I was comfortable with the decision.

* Receivers have trouble getting open? "We were challenged by their secondary. So, you can take that for what it's worth. They won the game. They did a good job against our passing game. We felt that our passing game would have been a strength versus their secondary, and if we played them again tomorrow, we would go right back at their secondary. But they did a good job."

* Will this week challenge you in way to keep this team together after two straight losses? "This is definitely a challenge. There's no question about it." Always a challenging day after a loss, "even moreso when you lose two in a row, even moreso when you lose in the fashion that we did in Tampa. It's a game that we expected to win." Didn't do some necessary things in spots of the game.

* On kick-coverage breakdowns: Timing of it is biggest common thread to prior weeks. To take 11-point lead and for them to come back with big return, "it's disappointing. It's lane integrity -- it's nothing more than that." Kick-away was the call, and Mason Crosby did good job prior to that kick. But did a poor job with lane integrity.

* Give any thought about any switching in responsibilities on coaching staff to help offensive line or special teams? "I'm very confident in our structure, our job responsibility, job description of every position. ... Offensive line, the way we're built, structured on staff is by design. We have four individuals on our offensive staff that I'd be confident, very confident in coaching the offensive line. So, I feel we have a high level of expertise on that side of the ball. Special teams, I think Shawn Slocum has done a good job in ... putting on his print on what we're trying to do philosophically compared to the prior three years. But our problems, to me, are not teaching and scheme. They do not fall in that area."

* Would it help to have new voices in the room? "There's structure. To have a new message or a new messenger -- I'm confident that's not where our football team is right now. They have a very loud, direct, clear message in the team meetings, day in and day out. So, there's no question or uncertainty of what we're asking everybody to do, coaches and players, and the accountability of what needs to be done. Hey, we're disappointed that we're 4-4. We're at the halfway point of our season. I'm very disappointed. But that's our work to this point. I take full responsibility. I'm at the point of this football team, and I have all the confidence in this team that we'll get ready and move on and win a big game here at home against Dallas."

* On punt returns: Confident with Tramon Williams.

* Why things fall apart on game day after good weeks of practice? Believe in practice structure. "If there is an error that was made leading up to this game, it was probably too much work" in practice during the week. Energy level wasn't the same in the fourth quarter. Had lot of production. Impact plays against cost the game. Didn't answer the bell in 2-minute.

* Blocked punt: Mental error. Must watch film and correct players. Clearly a mental error. It's a 4-4 look and there's a blown assignment. Never going to let someone run through the A-gap.

* On rotation at LOLB: Had planned that. Playing in heat, think that's obvious. Get to point in season where start watching the reps. Kampman had taken every snap on defense. Also must look down road with three games in short period.

* Can you survive if don't get to the passer? Must stop run first, "and we have accomplished the first part." Thought pass rush first three quarters was good. Didn't do good job of getting quarterback on ground when got to him.

* Try T.J. Lang at other positions? Think he's warranted that. But a little concerned about musical chairs playing on offensive line. "It's not a positive. I think it's been a deterrent in trying to gain continuity."

That's it for now.

Pelissero does an excellent job recapping these press conferences so quickly.

Much of this sounds like: "Hey, we're awesome coaches - it's the players' fault."

FAIL.

They may be pounding the same message at them day in and day out and the result is not good. Then you have to change how you deliver that message because apparently they do not get it.

I don't think our coaches are good teachers, which is why they are bad coaches.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

I'm not going to sit here and tell you that I have all the answers, but I'm very confident in the issues that we've had in pass protection, that they are correctable.

He also mentions that he takes full responsibility right after putting blame on other coaches and the players. Just say it like it is, MM.

Towards the end of Mike Sherman tenure, he was reluctant to make changes in the staff where we had repeat issues.. fast forward a couple of years, it appears to be the same story.

Now is it smoke to get through the year or is there really a belief that he has the right people on the staff?

I can tell you this, it is the same fundamental issues on the line for three plus years.. communication and technique.. I think the speaks all the volume needed upon the subject for a neutral observer.. IMO, Mike McCarthy is too close to the trees to see the overall forest at this point.

I only seen a very little bit of this game, so until I see (have time) replays I can't speak any further upon yesterday.

Blah, Blah, Blah, you probably can take the transcript from any other loss this season and the answers are the same.

Someone else said it, Mike McCarthy basically saying"hey the coaches are doing their jobs, it's the players that can't perform on Sunday"

I have a headache, I am out till Sunday, nothing is going to change, nothing to discuss.

"It's All Been Said Before"....who sang it?
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

Zero2Cool (12h) : Jan 4th gonna be rough with that start time lol
Zero2Cool (12h) : Packers schedule listed. Boom.
buckeyepackfan (18h) : Let the leaks begin. Colts @ Packers week 2, Vikings @ Packers week 4
Zero2Cool (14-May) : WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling to Bills
Zero2Cool (14-May) : Jets and Aaron Rodgers open up on Monday Night Football,
Zero2Cool (13-May) : $170 guaranteed. This might impact Jordan Love
Zero2Cool (13-May) : Lions are signing QB Jared Goff to a four-year, $212 million extension
Zero2Cool (13-May) : I know we moved on. That tidbit just makes me a touch happier.
Zero2Cool (13-May) : Sources spoke of many, many times last summer where Hackett called a play, then Rodgers changed it completely at the line
Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : I really don't know lol. I don't see him getting blown up.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : -3 buwahhhahaaha
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : 4th
Zero2Cool (9-May) : because he's 1st
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : Bust it is then
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Context. Sounds like Myers won't be cross-trained. C or bust.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : @BookOfEli_NFL Packers pass game coordinator, Jason Vrable said that Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks shared a placed in Florida while train
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : For now...
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers go about evaluating their "best five," OL coach Luke Butkus makes on thing clear: "Josh Myers is our center."
beast (8-May) : Though I'm a bit surprised letting go of CBs, I thought we needed more not less
beast (8-May) : It was confusing with two DB Anthony Johnson anyways
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers actually had Ray Lewis on the phone.
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers wanted to draft Ray Lewis. Ravens stole him.
Martha Careful (6-May) : Happy 93rd Birthday to the Greatest Baseball Player of All-Time...Willie Mays
Zero2Cool (6-May) : Walter Stanely's son
buckeyepackfan (6-May) : and released CB Anthony Johnson and DL Deandre Johnson and waived/injured WR Thyrick Pitts (thigh-rick).
buckeyepackfan (6-May) : The Green Bay Packers have signed WR Julian Hicks, OL Lecitus Smith (luh-SEET-us) and WR Dimitri Stanley
Zero2Cool (6-May) : Petty, but it's annoying me how the NFL is making the schedule release an event.
Mucky Tundra (4-May) : @mattschneidman Matt LaFleur on how he tore his pec: “Got in a fight with the bench press. I lost.”
Zero2Cool (3-May) : Jordan Love CAN sign an extension as of today. Might tak weeks/months though
TheKanataThrilla (3-May) : Packers decline 5th year option for Stokes
Mucky Tundra (3-May) : @ProFootballTalk Jaylen Warren: Steelers' special teams coach has discussed Justin Fields returning kicks.
Zero2Cool (2-May) : Season officially ending tonight for Bucks ... sad face
Zero2Cool (2-May) : Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as out for tonight's game.
dfosterf (2-May) : Surprisingly low initially is my guess cap wise, but gonna pay the piper after that
dfosterf (2-May) : The number on Love is going to be brutal.
Zero2Cool (2-May) : May 3rd. Extension day for Jordan Love. (soonest)
Zero2Cool (1-May) : USFL MVP QB Alex McGough moved to WR. So that's why no WR drafted!
earthquake (1-May) : Packers draft starters at safety ever few years. Collins, Clinton-Dix, Savage
beast (1-May) : Why can't the rookies be a day 1 starter? Especially when we grabbed 3 of them at the position
dfosterf (1-May) : Not going to be shocked if Gilmore goes to the Lions.
dfosterf (1-May) : I hear you dhazer, but my guess would be Gilmore Colts and Howard Vikings from what little has been reported.
Mucky Tundra (30-Apr) : S learn from McKinney who learns from Hafley who learns from the fans. Guaranteed Super Bowl
