I thought Vanderjagt was ostracised from NFL kicking jobs these days?

Well let's hope he doesn't have to try a long one this week, if I rmember right, there has never been a 50yd or longer FG made at Heinze field(that could be to win a game), but I think it is never.

Kickers go through slumps, hopefully MC has had his and will be his rookie self again the rest of this year.

We will see, but again, unless The Colts release Stover when Vanderjagt(sp?) gets healthy, I don't know of anyone else out there that would be any better.

Its most likely too late to change now. We just have to hope he gets it together.

As for the 50 yarder on Sunday, what better way of regaining his shattered confidence by drilling a long one at Heinz Field and making history.

Hmm that's strange, I don't recall giving thanks for this topic. Well, in any case, thanks! I guess.

I doubt it, since they won the game.

What good would that do for us, anyway? Replacing one slumping kicker with another.

My question is, have we ever had a kicker who was a very reliable in Green Bay?

Well, for a few years we had "Automatic Jan" Stenerud. One of only 3 placekickers enshrined in Canton and the only TRUE kicker. Probably a good basis for comparison. While he was only with GB four seasons, he went 2/3 for 50+ yds and was 3/4 the next year in Minny. However, lifetime, he was 11/47 from that range. That is under 25% folks...for the only Pro HOF kicker.

Are our expectations too high for Crosby? Yeah, I would be queesy if Crosby had to kick 50+ at the end of the game for the winner. But barring Vinitieri, I don't know what kicker I WOULDN'T feel the same way about.

Uh oh. Crosby just missed two back-to-back from 44 yards - right hash. Then he made last when he really got through it. 1 minute ago from TweetDeck

This is odd...Jeremy Kapinos is holding for Crosby in pre-game. At least I think it's odd. 3 minutes ago from TweetDeck

Zero2Cool (13-May) : Sources spoke of many, many times last summer where Hackett called a play, then Rodgers changed it completely at the line
Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.

Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
