It's been said many times this year including by Vikings players themselves that Favre is the biggest offensive threat, not AP.

Statistically it appears Favre and Rodgers are interchangeable. Realistically, I don't think so.

I think Favre with Grant would do far worse than Rodgers would if he had Adrian.

Now that they have matured and learned over the past 3-4 years, they are more able to complement an inferior QB. Dont look too deep into the term. Yes, i said inferior. If anyone cant handle Rodgers at this point being inferior to favre, thats too bad. It's not a dig. I think Rodgers is great but he's not better.

Rice just happens to be an available big body with some athleticism that Favre is taking to a new level. He should take half his new contract and give it to Favre.

Give him the ball the same amount of times Rice gets it.. That's scary. Driver and Jennings are great, I'm not taking anything away from them. But after that.. I think there's a big drop off. Unlike with the BRETT FAVRE's WRs, the starting 3 are pretty even, each brings a different style to the table. And the only thing you guys have over the BRETT FAVREs with TEs is that both can catch and block. The BRETT FAVREs have one pass catching STUD in Shiancoe, and two blocking TEs behind him (Klieny and Dugan). And both of which have been known to catch a few balls, too.

Follow me here. I hear what you're saying. IMO, the reason you think teh Favres wr's are as good is because of statistics. James Jones is a Starter on Minny. So is Jordy, and obviously Jennings and Driver. Driver is elite, especially with Favre throwing to him. The guy is the ultimate YAC guy. Jenning ability to break a short reception to the house is better than anyone on Minny. The reason Jones & Jordy dont have great stats is because of opportunity. Those guys are probably the best 3/4 combo in the nfl by far. I have only seen harvin make a play while in the slot on a mismatch like Welker. That does not translate into good #1 or 2 receiver in my book. Not just yet, but hey, he is a rookie.

And just want to remind you that the FAVRE's starting TE has outperformed Lee and Finley. Big time. 10 TDs to 5.

It took less than a season to lose their offensive identity. The Minnesota Favre's are not good enough to win a shootout against Arizona, NO, or Philly; and their not tough enough to grind out wins on the ground. Thanks Brett for two things: fucking up their running game and getting the Chillmeister a five year contract extension. I guess deep down you do still love the Packers.

I think the BRETT FAVREs Oline is better, but not consistent. And looking at the stats, I think the WRs even themselves out... Rice & Harvin are pretty on par with Driver & Jennings. You guys have more depth at TE, so I give you that edge. Our RBs, statistically are only a tiny bit better than yours.. But it's pretty obvious that once you factor historically, we have the superior RB corp.

Favre uses his TE.. There's really only one the team as a whole uses (the backups are blocking TEs more than anything else), and that's Shiancoe. When compared to Finley, they are comparable.. But it's silly to imply that Favre doesn't use his TE this year as he would if he had the Packers TEs.. (BTW, Shank has 10 TDs, you guys have a total of 5 for the TE position).

I do agree with you on Berrian and Favre's chemistry. That can be attributed to Berrian's glass legs (he was injured all of pre-season and most of the first half of the season), though. I think Rice would be more comparable to Driver than Berrian, considering the chemistry Rice and Favre have (even after a handful of games to get in tune).

"Formo" wrote:

I agree with you on your OL.

I'm very impressed with Rice and Harvin but I'm also very impressed with Driver and Jennings. Those 2 are a wash. You talk about Berrian's injury, well, it's an injury. I'd take a healthy James Jones over an injured Berrian. Plus, we got a 4th guy in Jordy Nelson who is consistently good. So I'd take our WR corps over yours.

I'll also take our TE corps over yours. I'm going to disagree with just about every Packers fan here, but I heart Lee. Everyone else seems to hate the guy. He was a stud under Favre. Rodgers simply has a different style and doesn't use him at all. I don't think anyone would argue that Finley isn't a stud. He's tits.

Yes, I do like Shank too, but that's one guy. We got 2. Despite the 5 vs 10 TDs, I'd still take our TEs. Has nothing to do with them and everything to do with Aaron's style vs Brett's.

You do have a superior RB corps. I'm not going to argue that if we're talking historically. If we're talking this year, I'd take Grant's consistency over AP's fumbleitis as AP, who was the best RB in the NFL before Chris Johnson came along, seems to fumble at the worst possible times.

That comeback by Favre against da Bears reminded me of Rodgers last year, how Rodgers would engineer a brilliant comeback only to see someone else blow it. Last year, it was Rodgers coming back then the D would blow it. Well against da Bears, it was AP once again fumbling at the worst possible time.

What really irked me about that is it cost Favre a shot at winning his 4th MVP. You probably already caught on, but I'm rooting for Favre to win the MVP but the Packers to win the Super Bowl, as I have been all year long.

Anyways, back to your RBs, Chester Taylor is a stud. Favre loves him and knows exactly how to use him. I'd much rather have Taylor on the Packers than Jackson, Green, and Wynn put together. Heck, let's do a trade. Just kidding. Would never happen because Taylor's chemistry with AP is not replaceable and Taylor is a genuine football player - more concerned with winning than his own personal agenda. He's glad to be #2 behind AP.

Well, Cutler finished the season with a bang and ended up with more TDs than INTs. Didn't think it would happen but it did.

Aaron finished the season #1 in QB rushing TDs and I'm assuming #1 in QB yards rushing as well but haven't checked what Vince Young did today. Great job Aaron.

As for passing stats, here ya go. I'm not going to bother with da Bears or the Lions as we all know the Packers & Vikings are the teams with better QBs.

Both Aaron and Brett ended the season with a 100+ rating. Absolutely phenomenal. I stand by what I said earlier, that they're interchangeable. I'd take Aaron simply because he'll be most likely playing 10 years from now. Brett won't.

My biggest beef though is that Mike McCarthy pulled Aaron before breaking Lynn Dickey's Packers' yardage record. Also, pulling him cost me my prediction (2 shutouts - damn Flynn threw an INT that led to an easy TD).

Aaron 350 541 4434 30 7 103.2
Brett 363 531 4202 33 7 107.2
