BTW, speaking of offensive suckage, how about the Jets getting SHUT OUT by a team that activiated FOUR new players off of waivers this week, including one of their own offcasts, and has 8 players on IR.

I'll worry about the offense tomorrow - they just went into the Meadowlands (or whatever they're calling it) and beat the "best team in the NFL". No turnovers for us, three for them. Two sacks allowed. Solid play in every phase of the game. Great win.

The Jets were averging something like a 150 rushing yards a game.

I think they got a little more than half that average in the entire game.

Sometimes you tip your cap to the other team. Althought we shouldn't dismiss the offensive performance altogether that way, they were playing an outstanding D.

I initially thought this thread was a joke -- the fine work of a troll.

Nerd, your football acumen is the joke.

This is a game that I am going to download and rewatch. I wan't to take a much closer look to see what happened on the offense. Play calls, QB, WR just facing a good d. Before I make any judgement.

Glad for the win.

I agree again AADP...what's overlooked in this is Aaron didn't force anything. Took some really quick slants to Greg, easy dump offs to Jordy and Bjack, but still made some really nice throws to Jones (dropped) and Jordy (nice backshoulder). It kept the ball moving just enough to always give the Jets difficult field position.

Some games you can "dilfer it." The D was lights out today, Masthay was doing incredible...so it's OK to accept a 6-0 game.

Please post your thoughts! Would love to read what you see on the film.

From my perspective, looking at the plays McCarthy did a good job trying to throw the Jets' DBs off by lining WRs in bunch and bringing Jennings in the slot so he couldn't be pressed. In other words, I think he tried to get his best receiving playmaker in positions to make plays, so I don't have a major issue with the playcalling (besides the three straight runs inside four minutes in the final quarter). But I hardly played critical attention to the offensive formations.

beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.

Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
