One can never tell how a coach and GM will handle winning a Superbowl? Obviously Mike and Ted have never faced that challenge.

I would love to get the P.H. members thoughts on this... After all there are some brilliant football minds on this site. You know who you are.

Do you think Mike will be able to motivate this team and avoid a Superbowl hang over next year?

Will Ted change his Draft and Free Agent philosophy in an attempt to go for Back to Back championships in 2012?

These are serious concerns to me. I feel they both should just continue doing what they have been doing and not change the long term and short term plan at all. In other words do not mess with the formula.

I feel if they stick to the plan Three In A Row is very possible.

Your Thoughts?

RP I don't have an answer. I want to see them get one in row before I think of a threepeat.

I don't think we'll have a shot at a 3peat. It's never been done and may not be done within the next 20 years.

We have an elite D. It is not dominant. It is not #1 and one of our most valuable players on D (and a future Hall of Famer) is 34 years old.

Nothing against us. It's history isn't on our side.

Now, back to back, it can happen. We'll need a few things to happen - a good #1 draft pick, Ryan Grant to come back 100%, Finley to come back 100%, and Bulaga to step up in his 2nd year. We will also either need Cliffy to somehow play one more year or we'll have to get a rookie of the year nominee on OL.

We will also need Dom Capers as a Green Bay Packer for another year. Possibly my biggest fear in 2011 is if some team puts a fat amount of money in front of Dom Capers' face, an amount so large that Dom can't possibly say no. If we lose Capers, I don't see a repeat happening.

Don't mean to be Debbie Downer. On the plus side, I can see our team being an elite team over a period of 6 or 7 years and that gives us our best shot of multiple SBs. I want Ted Thompson & Mike McCarthy long-term. I'm starting to really like MM.

Until we actually win our fourth Lombardi, we can't really say much in this conversation.

The Niners in the 80s, Cowboys in the 90's, Patriots in the 00's, Green Bay really has a legitimate shot to be the team of the 10's. It's just a matter of personnel and really knowing if our players are Packer people.

I look at the Finley injury as a blessing in disguise, because the fact that he didn't play means he didn't make the Pro Bowl, which won't boost his ego. Part of what made Mike Sherman's inherited and talented teams explode was locker room cancers like Grady Jackson, Javon Walker, and Mike McKenzie all at once. We can't have that here with Green Bay, under McCarthy and Thompson.

It's just a matter of getting guys back, having backups step up and show off our obvious depth, and continuing to play like it's an honor to be a Green Bay champion.

We haven't won the NFC North since 2007, so we can't even call ourselves Titletown this year until winning the Super Bowl.

Oh, and unless James Starks runs wild in the post-season, we need to get rid of the zone-blocking scheme.

IIRC, a threepeat has been done twice...by a team called the Green Bay Packers.

But whether it will ever be done *again*, I doubt it, too.

Of course if Holmgren hadn't screwed up SuperBowl 32, we might have seen that team do it.

oh yes, and even if starks runs wild in postseason, we *still* need to get rid of the ZBS.
