Just to clarify, I wasn't expressing surprise that it was the Packers' third postseason appearance under McCarthy; I was expressing surprise that it's only their second victory.

got to tell you that block into the ball still gets my goat. Peeps can say all they want about he should of run away from the ball and stopped blocking but I still consider that a lame call. Not like he wasnt helped by the eagles dude into that ball.

Special teamers are taught to try and push a player into the ball, you see it all the time. But most are smart enough to run away from it and not keep getting blocked, That right there shows you why Bush plays before Underwood 😉
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

JONES: He has a THUMB he is dealing with???
On that drop, it looked to me like he had 10 thumbs!!!

(Although the TD he grabbed that was almost on the ground was sweet. At first i was SURE the ball had bounced, but replay showed me otherwise.)
How can a guy snag that, but drop ones laid right into his hands? That's what baffles me.

But Rodgers was sharp today. If not for drops, we would have scored more. He looked like the "big stage" didn't faze him.

This coming from a quarterback who just set an NFL record for most touchdown passes in his first two postseason games.

"Nonstopdrivel" wrote:

Is that really a record? I mean, come on. I know you can make a stat out of anything, but calling it a record seems a little over the top for something like this.

If it's simply the word "record" that offends you I guess you could just say nobody has ever thrown that many TDs in their first 2 games before. It means the same thing (damn good playoff performances). I personally don't see the reason to make a big deal about someone calling it a record though.

They ones Jones is dropping, have they been on the right sideline as he is looking over his left shoulder?

that is peculiar if it is true aadp. Also, there was the stat thread started this week, and I think through that or ESPN I heard 85% of teams who win the turnover battle win the game.

Good to be in the 15% minority today!

And of course, that's not even taking into consideration the touchdown he ran for against the Cardinals. So he's personally accounted for 8 touchdowns in his first two playoff appearances.

Call it an NFL record or a damn fine performance -- I don't care. It's still pretty impressive.

Missed Field Goals and also failing to convert on 4th down are not turn overs.
