On the receiving end of one of my most memorable and enjoyed plays of my youth.. like it was yesterday. [grin1]

That and he almost.. I repeat almost erased "The Catch" from the pages of the football annals. His leaping spike also was notable.. great player..

Drew Pearson to join Cowboys’ Ring of Honor

The Dallas Cowboys will announce today that Drew Pearson will join the franchise’s Ring of Honor.

Matt Mosley of ESPN 103.3 reports that Pearson will be announced as the newest member of the Ring of Honor today. Charean Williams of the Star-Telegram reported early this month that Pearson would be inducted, but Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has been coy about making the announcement official.

Pearson played his entire 11-year career with the Cowboys, from 1973 to 1983. He led the league with 870 receiving yards in 1977 and finished his career with 489 catches for 7,822 yards and 48 touchdowns. Pearson’s most famous play was reeling in a Hail Mary pass to win a 1975 playoff game against the Vikings.

Pearson will become the 18th person inducted into the Ring of Honor.

Contrary to the belief of some.. Wright screwed up on the play and FELL. What is how I seen the play then and still now. :-"

Here, let everyone decide for themselves.

BTW - this is the play that began over 3 decades of dumbass purple people whining and crying about reffing, conspiracy theories, and questioning God's love.

It's kind of like November 5, 1955 for Back to the Future fans - a date that will live in infamy.

Mucky Tundra (25-Apr) : I may end up eating those words but I think they need a lot more talent then their 4 picks can provide
Mucky Tundra (25-Apr) : I really hope they stand pat and Draft a WR

Zero2Cool (23-Apr) : 49ers are seeking a 1st round pick in exchange for WR Brandon Aiyuk
Mucky Tundra (22-Apr) : Based on Gutes comments, now I don't feel as silly having 13 picks in my mock the other day

beast (21-Apr) : Sometimes looking extremely amazing, sometimes looking extremely lost
beast (21-Apr) : I haven't looked into the QBs, but some have suggested Maye has some of the most extremely inconsistent tape they've seen
beast (21-Apr) : Well it also sounds like Patriots are listening to trade offers, not that seriously considering any, but listening means they aren't locked
Zero2Cool (21-Apr) : Maye needs to be AFC
Mucky Tundra (21-Apr) : Not liking the idea of the Vikings getting Maye
Zero2Cool (21-Apr) : Vikings HC joked that he may or may not have sent flowers to Bob Kraft. That's where rumor came from.
