There were a few times tonight were I said EITHER... He looked very much like Favre OR Favre couldnt have pulled that play off with his feet. Rodgers impressed me tonight, great feet great reads... His O-line seemingly tried to lose the game but we came out on top.

Overall I was very pleased with how Rodgers handled himself on the big stage against many (for which i have no idea why) pick the vikings as favorites in the NFC North... Their offense is atrocious and I find laughable... How bout our D tonight??? Makes me smile, see... 🙂

I agree. Rodgers handled himself and the pressure GREAT last night. No "bone head" throws. And that TD pass was a thing of beauty. Put it where only our guy could catch it. And he was under alot of pressure on that play. A heads up play!

When you consider the kind of pressure he was under this performance is outstanding. Especially when you consider how it started out the first couple of possessions where flags were flying everywhere and they couldn't get anything going.

Arod could have started pressing but he stayed cool and waited for the game to come to him. Once the guys in front of him settled down some he moved them right down the field.

I never once saw him flustered or unsure of himself. If everybody else out there played as well as he did it would have been another 34-0 washout.

Watching that toss on replay was terrific, the angle it took leaving his hand, the tight spiral, the zip, a thing of beauty indeed!

Off to a good start no doubt, but I would like to see a couple of weeks before I crown him completely. Don't take that the incorrect way, everything he has done to this point save the SF game this season has shown that he has "IT".

But again.. I want to see it for a couple of weeks before I will acclaim that he is our next QB for the long term.

But if this is the trend for the year, which at this point seems likely, we have a keeper in this gent.

I think Rodgers will do better when we face a D-Line that isn't so dominating. They made it hard on Rodgers, but that's what makes it so much more impressive. I expect against a lesser D we will pick it apart using the passing game. be nice to have Jones back too.

Actually, I hated that TD pass -- I loved that it worked out, but that was way more Favre-like than my old ticker (which has been weakened by watching the man Himself for the past 16 years) could bear. Falling down, falling backward, 3 different Vikes had a shot at it... yikes!

He clearly spent his tutelage well -- picked up both the best and worst Favre had to show him. And something tells me I'm going to love (and hate) watching him for a while.

quite frankly, not ONCE did i think he looked like favre. i thought he looked like rodgers, OUR qb, the one with a helluva future ahead of him, a gun for an arm, & great decision making abilities. 😃

Haha... not only that, but he was spinning away from the throw as he let it go, so that he didn't even see the catch because his back was to the endzone. Then he just jogs around cool as a cucumber after it.

ALL homerism and excitement about Rodgers aside, that was one of the most incredible thread the needle passes I've ever seen.
