Yes.... the season isn't over, but we should live in reality

This team is terrible with its o-line and defense. Aaron Rodgers can boost this team as much as he wants, but it still leada to an average team considering injuries. But with this failure of a season, we can boost up with a higer draft pick and an offseason of healing and anger. This season has shown us one thing... we really need more. Really bad. And an influx of talent + heald players = Super Bowl in close sights.

And maybe a new DC...but I digress. Thoughts?

The window for another SB with Aaron Rodgers is closing.
There are way too many weak spots on D.
Rodgers hid that by forcing other teams to
try to keep up points wise.
Kind of like the 15-1 season.
Had they made the playoffs they would have
been one and done anyway.

What I mean by "football hell" is that point where you are average. There is a playoff spot here a there, maybe an NFC championship but nothing substantial. Your draft picks are so that even if you trade down you are not getting that quality of players. Remember 1999-2006? That was football hell.

With Aaron's injury, we now have a way to get a higher draft pick, get players healed, and avoid football hell with even better players. We need to trade down, down, down this draft or get that super star corner. Things happen for a reason, and this is the best time for it to happen (not in 4 years from now).

First of all, the season ain't over. 9-6-1 should win the division, and on from there.

The last two fairly high first round picks we had, we got mediocre Hawk and pathetic Raji. Even if that does happen, I have no confidence in Thompson to choose quality personnel.

Your assuming the guys we draft actually make a big difference.

Bulaga IR twice
Sherrod IR twice
Neal always hurt
Perry has missed as many games as many games as he's played.
Worthy has had an ACL already
Hayward has 1 lost season under his belt already
Cobb has some mystery leg injury
In fact, the entire 2011 draft class has not done much aside from Cobb.
The entire 2010 draft class is very injury prone

I forget how terrible CLAY MATTHEWS AND AARON RODGERS are too. Wadfegjwel;fjwef

Rodgers and Matthews were, of course shining successes for Thompson, but has he put together even a marginally decent team around them? Hell No.

You can't. Because Ted Thompson give the Packers a chance, every year. He makes mistakes, but the anti-Thompson bashing is what would lead to... Mike Sherman. So, back on topic, I'm excited for the next season of a new fresh start.

Days of blowouts are the days you feel like the sky is falling. A couple of players are eating at our cap space a bit but they deserved what they got paid and this is the NFL in 2013. There has been a domino effect since Aaron went down that is too complex to just point at something and say there you go. I caution anyone to want to blow things up. It is better to reload than rebuild. We have a chance at doing that next year. For now, we have to take this bitter pill and thank the football gods that we have 10 days to sort out this mess and try to get as healthy as possible. We can all agree though that certain players are making it an easy decision on who to cut in the offseason.

Zero2Cool (14-May) : Jets and Aaron Rodgers open up on Monday Night Football,
Zero2Cool (13-May) : $170 guaranteed. This might impact Jordan Love
Zero2Cool (13-May) : Lions are signing QB Jared Goff to a four-year, $212 million extension
Zero2Cool (13-May) : I know we moved on. That tidbit just makes me a touch happier.
Zero2Cool (13-May) : Sources spoke of many, many times last summer where Hackett called a play, then Rodgers changed it completely at the line
Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.

Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : Bust it is then
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Context. Sounds like Myers won't be cross-trained. C or bust.

Zero2Cool (2-May) : May 3rd. Extension day for Jordan Love. (soonest)
Zero2Cool (1-May) : USFL MVP QB Alex McGough moved to WR. So that's why no WR drafted!
earthquake (1-May) : Packers draft starters at safety ever few years. Collins, Clinton-Dix, Savage
