What's with all the Hamstrings?

As bad as it has been for the Packers, a lot of other teams have been plagued with hamstring injuries too. They said during the game that the Cowboys were second - the Bengals being first in total hamstring injuries. With all the crap about various kinds of fitness, etc., anybody got any theories about why this is happening? It would seem like it has to be more than just coincidence.

NFL athletes (and athletes in general) are bigger, faster and stronger than they have ever been. We see hamstrings blow from these guys simply running down field. It seems it is getting to the point where they are too fast and too strong for the human body to withstand its own power.

Besides the players being closer to the limit of what the body can take. I think the softer practices are causing many of them. If you want to train your body to withstand what an NFL game puts it through, you need to practice as close as you can and with the greater limitations in the CBA, most practices are glorified walk-thrus.

I'm not sure I buy the bigger stronger faster thing as a reason. Same with lesser/softer practices. It has been pretty much a sudden thing this year - not all that gradual like you would expect. I can't think of a better reason, though.
