Julius Peppers signed a three year contract with the Packers on March 15th 2014 and quite a few were thinking the then 34 year old 6'7" player was over the hill. That contract is detailed below.
3/15/2014: Signed a three-year, $26 million contract. The deal included a $7.5 million signing bonus. Another $4 million is available through escalators and bonuses.
2014: $1 million ( + $2,500,000 signing bonus)
2015: $8.5 million (+ $500,000 roster bonus)
2016: $7 million (+ $500,000 roster bonus)
2017: Free Agent
All Peppers did was record seven sacks, two interceptions (returned both for touchdowns), forced four fumbles recovering three of them and knocked down 11 passes while playing 825 snaps.
How do you feel about the signing of Peppers now? Any different now than this time last year?
