the point wasn't that the Packers didn't have enough talent without him, it was that he would have helped, he would have improved the team, thus improving the chance. Which is the reason why it might end up being Teds biggest personnel mistake. JJ was here and would have been willing to stay for less than he got from Oak had the team signed him prior. There are not many moves made that so easily and cheaply could have been the difference between NFC Championship and SB.
Who wouldn't spend 3 million or less extra to get to the SB rather than NFC championship?
