While the league hopes to avoid the perception that some teams are engaging in fire sales (since it becomes harder to sell tickets to those teams games over the balance of the season), teams need to be pragmatic about their circumstances. If they can get something in return for a player who isn’t going to help them get to the postseason this year (especially if the player is in the last year of his contract) why not move on?

Never say never!

DeSean Jackson is an asshole and still hasn't played this season, but I'd take him in a heartbeat.

It's not worth trading a young guy. We need the depth we have.

Maybe we get Jennings back as well.

This isn't baseball. How many mid-season "fire sales" have we seen historically? I was stunned we saw what the Bears did...very rare, we shouldn't hold our breath.

WR depth is a weakness on Oct 18th...how do we know that CB or DL won't be a weakness due to injury. We don't need a knee jerk trade, and I know Ted won't.

VERY tentatively, if it's "just" an ankle with Ty, it may not be season-ending, and Davante could be back next week. Abby and Janis are starting to get some experience so I don't think we're in as bad a situation as everyone perceives now.

Packers are going to be fine at WR without mistakenly trading for an injured WR.
