This is stunning. I was pretty sure they would resign Josh and let Lang take a walk.

I've been told by multiple sources that the Sitton release was contract related, that he was not happy with the Packers waiting on extending his contract while pursuing deals with other players. There must have been some kind of standoff. Sitton is in the final year of his deal and was set to be unrestricted next year.

Ted not taking care of his own? What? This is a PR black eye for him and the org on this one if true. Sitton was a pro bowler...thought he was always overrated because he wasn't much of a run blocker but he was one heckvua pass blocker.

Not exactly sure why they would have to cut him now? We hold the cards with him. Ted Thompson didn't give in with the Favre situation but he's giving in to Sitton and releasing him? This had to be more than just a little disagreement. Had to be MAJOR. Has to have a ripple effect on everyone on this team. Watching one of your best players basically say I quit and am done with you and the GM just folding and letting it happen. Bad precedent. Shocked the steady stern Ted Thompson would allow this to take place.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Your thoughts on our GM folding like a cheap tent when one of his best wanted out? Takes care of his own?

Down in Hattiesburg, Brett is asking why he couldn't have gotten the Sitton treatment?

Tightwad Teddy surely wanted Sitton to take one for the team...be a Packer person...work more..get paid less and Sitton said screw that. Teddy be eating crow if Aaron gets blasted time and time again by blitz heavy teams. Didn't see this cut coming...

Our OL wasn't that good to begin with...I shudder to see how bad it is now.
