I wonder this same thing about all the brilliant time saving abbreviation people in the world. I mean, does it really take that much time to be a lot more precise with such few keystrokes?

"I know we've been struggling, me in particular has been struggling," Randall said as he returned from the bye. "The great thing about that, I'm not struggling because of the receivers. I'm struggling because of myself. I know I'm going to bounce back. That's really the best part about the bye week -- to know that it's me.

These guys have been peeking into the backfield. It's one of the reasons we're topping the league in run defense now. But it can't continue. Everyone's seeing it on tape.

Good to see emphasis on run D, though. Used to be the cornerstone of Dom's system, but went by the wayside for a while, due to the theory that the league was pass-oriented. Then again, they're probably just compensating for a thin Dline. Especially with Burnett out.

With the amount of youth in the secondary, you have to except some mistakes. When your most senior DB on the field is just starting his 3rd year.

If we look back, how many years did it take for Shields, Tramon heck even Nick Collins took 3 good years to really become a pro-bowl quality player.

I would estimate we get 1 starter out of every 4-5 young guys at a position like CB or S. We have to get them on the field to learn and see what they have because by the end of 3 years we need to know if they will be our future vets.

We have two 7th year players as starters (when not hurt) in Shields and Burnett. Next it is looking like HaHa will be a future vet. we need to find out if Rollins or Randall will join him.

We have had Harris and Woodson, Woodson Tramon, it was supposed to be Tramon and Collins before we lost Nick to injury, a hard hole to fill.

Not to mention there is only so much veteran space in the salary cap.

The Colts released cornerback Antonio Cromartie and waived inside linebacker Sio Moore, the team announced.

Cromartie was signed in a late-August fit of desperation when starting cornerbacks Vontae Davis and Patrick Robinson each went down with injuries.

Cromartie have anything left? Not really sure we need him, but he's out there.

I thought Randall had a thumb injury.
Now I'm hearing that it's a groin injury.
What next?

Not many teams could handle losing their top 2 CBs, with the #3 missing significant time as well. The Packers are surely going to draft another CB in the first few rounds especially if shields is done but how many people would have predicted he'd miss the whole season?
