The Packers have parted ways with running back James Starks. Starks did not play in the team's final three regular season games or their three playoff contests after suffering a concussion in a mid-December car accident. The NFL's transaction report brought word of Starks' removal from the Packers roster and it came with a non-football...

My god, there was nothing wrong with the contract when it was signed. Only an idiot would say so now.

Wish him the best and be happy for the 2.9million in cap space we gained.

The negativity on ALLABOUTUFFDA.COM hopefully is becoming unbearable.

James Starks was a 6th round draft pick who was a big piece of The Packers drive to The Super Bowl in 2010.
He was a nice change of pace when Eddie was running strong.
When Eddie went down, he picked up the slack.
2016 just wasn't a good year, injuries and then getting into the car wreck spelled the end for James in Green Bay.

Like John Kuhn last year, there will be a team who will be in need of a veteran running back next year, hopefully James can go elsewhere and be productive.

I wish him well.

I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

Tell me who was offering him anywhere near that kind of money? So, why did we have to offer him that contract? Who was going to pay anything near it? Who?

I loved James Starks back in the day, but this is NOW. It doesn't matter what James did in 2010...this is about today...and the today that he got his big contract was a today far removed from him being a good player.

You don't pay a guy 2.25 million for...THAT. His concussion was much later in the season. He was brutal all year and should've never been given the money. He exemplifies the good but not good enough we always seem to end up with around here.

So, PFWT and Buck think that was a good contract? Good to know.

Umm, you might want to rethink your answer on cap space "gained". LOL.

Yeah, going into the season with one less RB would have been brilliant. Just when I thought you could not be more wrong, you lower the bar even more.

However, he very well could've played this year for that kind of money. That's an absolute JOKE of a contract. We paid 2.25 million last year for...THAT. Good move? See, you're justifying the STUPID contract because he would've been one less warm body. So, when Ted fails to do his job and then overpays a 30 something backup RB you can call it smart? You miss the point completely. Just right over your head. My goodness the shoot lows are incredible to me.

For you to say it was not a bad move on Ted's part is blind. Go look at RB contracts in the NFL much less ones for backups who are his age and come here and tell me again this wasn't a ridiculous contract. We won't be hearing from you other than you telling me how stupid I am when I'm correct. Go look. Come back. Let's talk...

No more I say it's dumb...you say it's smart and you walk away thinking you've proven your point. Show me the contracts for backup RB's his age and tell me this was smart? Ted fails to stock the RB position and scrambles to overpay an aging declining player and you're rallying behind the move. Go search this forum and see what was said when he signed the contract.
