I didn't see us winning today. With the poor defensive play, I don't see any wins coming.
Again we had them on 3rd and long several times, and then would give up a big play. Reminds me of our past years of defense. (Or lack there of).

I was a Packer fan long before many of you were born. In that time I saw Starr and the 60's Packers dominate the League and I've also seen the Packers struggle in the 70's and the 80's . B.Favre and R.White along with Coach Holmgren and R.Wolf brought the Pack back to be a consistently league leading TEAM . The key word here is "TEAM".

The announcers and talking heads have had it right for years when they said , Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers . The one player that GB would have no identity without and now GB has no real identity . Lombardi's Packers may have been GB's last multi-player identified team .

Pittsburgh has had the Steel Curtain, Dallas the Doomsday Defense, the Rams have had the Fearsome Foursome and also The Greatest Show on Turf , and even New England is Belichick's Patriots (not Brady's) . The point is that other teams have put together teams of legend , but it takes a GM to get it done. Any team that drops from elite to average because they lost ONE PLAYER , needs to reexamine the teams management and player scouting personal .

Fans are passionate. That's the fun of it.

It has been disappointing to see so many misses on defense in the early rounds. Even taking into consideration making selections towards the last 1/3 of the draft each year, Ted has made some nice selections but his rounds 1-3 have been somewhat lacking.

The players they can play football. There's really not much doubt in that in my mind. Dom Capers has been given how many players and we get basically the same result. If your coaches don't maximize the players, then what good are the players? Which brings me to Wade Philips.

That’s what our coaching philosophy is, really. I don’t understand the people that say, ‘Hey, this is our scheme and that guy can’t play in it. The guy can play. He’s a good player, but he can’t play in our scheme.’ Well, to me, there’s something wrong with your scheme. You adapt the scheme to what the players can do, not what you can think of. We’ve always done it that was.

And don't say the wr's were not open, because they were most of the time. How many more times are we going to see the other team getting first downs on 3rd and 17? or 3rd and 11, etc? We all want this team to succeed, but when one guy goes down for possibly the season, you have to wonder about the coaching staff. And as far as passion, there is absolutely none. Look at Jordy's body language and others. Let me know when you see any Packer player waving a towel to get the crowd going. They showed Hundley lifting his arms(barely) trying to get the crowd into it. Packers win 1 more game this season, maybe 2.

edit........there are some thoughtful comments here. Ted Thompson is a terrible GM when it comes to defense and Mike McCarthy is worthless without Rodgers. He will not get blamed though. That game plan was horrible. If Hundley is your QB, dammit, treat him like it. I’ve never seen a coach held less accountable (maybe Marvin Lewis in Cincinnati) then MM. Thompson let Haywood, Lang, and Hyde go and it’s biting him in the ass. He needs to retire while Rodgers still has a few years left. By the way, I would have fired Mike McCarthy after the Seattle championship game.

I think at least any fan over the age of 35 can remember some time when this franchise didn't have a HoF QB. Younger fans don't really understand how good they've had it since 1992 and not many teams will have back to back HoF QBs that can cover two generations.

Without Aaron, we're probably looking at another 8-8 season at best. Maybe 9-7 if some bounces go our way and Hundley shows some improvement. This isn't 2013 where everyone in the division sucks and we can hope for a late season rescue from Rodgers. Frankly, he needs to concentrate on getting healed up and being ready for 2018 at this point.

To me this is gut check time for the overall roster and what they can do. Anything 7-9 and under this season, I think if Ted Thompson is going to continue to make roster decisions, there needs to be serious discussion on making some significant moves in the off-season in free agency. And as well as on the coaching staff.

Aaron is going to turn 35 when he comes back next season, and who knows if he's going to be the same elite QB we expect him to be coming off a significant injury to his throwing shoulder. The window of winning another Super Bowl with him probably isn't going to extend much past 2020 and it's clear the mediocrity of some of the personnel on the roster isn't going to get it done.

However, this team overall needs to get it together if they wanna win. That's a bigger problem than Hundley.

We are getting a glimpse of the near future without an elite QB.
Smokey,I, like you are old enough to remember the 60's and so on. Back then, if Bart Starr went out with an injury, Zeke Bratkowski would come in and we would hardly miss a beat. We had a great TEAM back then. Now, you lose Rodgers and the season is over.
Ted letting Hyde and Hayward go shows how stupid he is. If we still had those guys I bet we would still have at least a chance. PAY THE GOOD PLAYERS SO YOU CAN KEEP THEM!!!
Hundley is no Aaron Rodgers. Without a decent D, and some plays to play to Hundleys strengths, Mike McCarthy has shown he hasn't got a clue.
