Tim Couch was a high draft pick, wasn’t he? Tom Brady was late round. You just never really know how good or bad a guy can be until he’s actually playing, and with a half decent team around him.

McCarthy said they needed to see improvement week to week. Personally, I can't say I saw a helluva lot from his first game starting to his last game starting. Then again, I am completely hung up on his lack of decision making in the pocket while starring down who he's going to throw it to.

He seemed to play much better on the road, but he was still hesitant in decision making, always throwing behind guys. The fact that he played worse at home suggests to me that he was nervous or self conscious. Mike’s textbook teaches everything about being a QB, except getting in the Zone.

Dude has the physical skills, he’s just afraid to takenthat leap, throw ahead of WRs, anticipate their breaks, hit thhem when they get separation.
