This team has no fight, no heart, and we're soft. We're being outplayed and out-coached in every facet of the game. We can't tackle at all. Maybe we should do some hitting in practice so we can stop somebody once. This is embarrassing watching our guys limping off the field. Toughen up and play the game boys, this is the NFL.

Toughen up?

Kinda hard to do that when you're the walking wounded.

Toughen up and play? Like bigby did last week? Clearly that injured ankle limited him big time when he gave up the first TD to the Saints last week.

Players can play through nagging injuries, as our players have done, and they've proven their tough.

It's almost impossible to still play when you re-aggrivate your injury, or you have another injury affecting your range of motion.

When I entered this topic, I was hoping you were criticizing the play calling. I felt we should have gone for it on fourth down when we were in the red zone early on instead of settling for a field goal. You're not going to win games when the other team is scoring TD's and we're getting field goals.

I think this is a team that plays soft defensively. We either can't or just don't tackle well. We miss assignments and that's a sign of mental softness. We make mistake upon mistake and good teams just don't do that. And the real key is that if we lose this game today we're more than likelly out of the playoffs. We play with no urgency whatsoever and unfortunately that is a direct reflection on the coaching staff and the GM. You can't believe for a moment that this is a tough team.

I don't recall too many missed tackles. Look, sometimes you have to credit the other player, whether they are elusive or simply that fast.

Instead of thinking strictly in terms of made tackles or missed tackles, perhaps the athleticism of one of our players allows them to create the possibility of a tackle when they have no business even having an attempt to tackle in the first place.

Once again, perhaps the injuries are hurting this team coverage wise? Simply put, they are being asked to play coverages they haven't practiced a whole lot? Perhaps that's part of the problem?

During the game the sideline reports reported that CBs coach Lionel Washington said the injuries during this game have forced them to change their coverages.

Tough to do that when like Bigby you've got ankle problems, then your shoulder gets hurt.

Not totally impossible that the shoulder injury limits Bigby's range in his arm. If that's the case, you'd still rather Bigby play?

Hard to call for more toughness when you've got a concussion like Wells does (according to the reports).

Someone like Collins, or Chillar, have displayed toughness. I don't think a call for toughening up is a fair one.

Exactly, everyone is injured this time of year. If you got a concussion that's one thing, but your hand hurts? Come on dude, at millions of dollars a year, you get your butt out there and play. A sprained ankle hurts like hell but it shouldn't affect you tackling. I will affect your speed, but it shouldn't have anything to do with hitting someone.

I guess the other thing that has me aggravated is that until this offensive series I haven't seen any aggression in any aspect of the game the last two weeks.

now that last series is the way I'd expect us to play. We executed! We got lucky on the near interception, but they go for two and they execute and get it. Game tied. Now lets see our defense play with the same reckless abandon.
