Though he also seemed professional throughout the season... unlike Moss.

Well, it sounds like we just lost a very good coach... 💤 😞

Just trying to speculate who Pettine might get for the DB, and Jim Leonhard name came to mind. They spend 6 years together, on 4 different teams (Ravens, Jets, Bills and Browns)... so clearly they liked him (as a player) they kept bringing him to his new team.

Does the rule teams can't talk to coaches while they are still in the playoffs pertain to all coaches or just head coach candidates?

I know the teams with byes last week everyone was available to interview.

I don't know whether he was good or not, but I know that we don't need the drama, and it certainly sounds like that was occurring. I think people are experiencing a lot of "who moved my cheese" moments.

We all seem to want change, but then when changes are made (with the exception of Zook) many say "oh no, not him."

Further, I think all these stupid titles and positions like "passing game coordinator" et al are ridiculous. They probably create lines of confusion between position coaches and players.

BTW, Beast, I would love to see Leonard as in GB, but would hate to lose him in Madison.

But the hard part of finding assistants coaches from other teams is that if they're under contract, you must receive permission to interview them. UNLESS it's for a head coach or GM spot. An example being the Packers and Cardinals both prequested permission to talk with 49ers run game coordinator Mike McDaniel about an OC job, the 49ers denied the request.

Yeah I was thinking Wisconsin fans were thinking they would hate it, I was just trying to find available coaches from our current coaches past, and for DB coach that was the only one I could find, other than a guy who seemed to be out of coaching for a few years and is back with the Memphis Express of the AAF. So I'm not sure he's coming back to the NFL.

Jim Leonard shouldn’t leave his DC job in Wisconsin. He is doing well enough that a few Big Ten teams might come calling for a head job someday.

I was impressed with Whitt over the first half of his tenure with Green Bay. However, I haven’t seen development from young DBs. Some of that has to do with personnel, but some of that has to do with coaching.
