In the screenshots below, you'll see some huge positional holes. I would expect the draft to fall in line with those holes.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if one of these WR is drafted by the Packers.

Terrace Marshall Jr.
Sage Surratt
Seth Williams
Tamorrion Terry

— #Packers WR Devin Funchess took a roughly $750K paycut to stick in Green Bay after opting out last year, source said.

Traditional the Packers 2nd selection under Thompson and Gute (at least of of their top selections) has been a position with an important player going into their contract year.

Currently the entire WR group is going into their contract year this year (I say currently, because it's thought they could give Adams an extension to create more Cap room).

Also under Gute, his 1st round picks so far have always been the position with the most positional value.

Which the first tier is said to be QB, OT, Edge and CB. And second tier being TE and S.

Gute has hit them all except OT and TE in the first round, and he really could use a couple more CBs, and with Bak injured, and this draft class looks like it could have some good OTs.

I'm thinking (based on what I see from college player rankings) the Packers go OL, WR, OL, WR for the first four picks. This includes trading up/down.

But yes, I've sorta been split between, Packers don't draft offensive players in the first round unless they're QBs or OTs.... and WRs Kadarius Toney and/or Terrace Marshall Jr. Might be right there for the taking.

Packers do often draft for position where there have a star going into a contract year (usually in the second selection, but all the WRs are basically in a contract year.

So many teams need OL help and so many have let OL go to get under the cap, I think we could see a very heavy run on OL early and often.

Do you really think the Packers will ignore the defense two years in a row with the top of the draft?

If they do, R.I.P. defense... and Rodgers will have a shot at another MVP as he'll have to score so many points to keep up...

They seriously need CBs... and it doesn't help that King is a UFA, Sullivan is an RFA, according to Zero2Cool someone reportedly said the Packers will be releasing Josh Jackson, the 6th CB is an RFA and was injured all year.

So it's supposively just Alexander and Hollman right now for three starting positions. I would guess Savage would be next up... but even then, Packers #3 Safety is an RFA.

Packers are in trouble for lack of coverage guys right now.... not in terms of talent, but in terms of bodies period. But also talent...

I haven't heard Brian Gutenkunst say anything of the sort, but I feel history sides with that as well.

That being said, I can see the Packers using more Day 1/2 picks on Offense than Defense, while using more free agent signings on the defensive side of the ball.

Of course, it also depends on how they've graded this upcoming rookie class. If they have a Grade A LB and a Grade B+ WR available at 29, I tend to think they'd take the LB. Trust your board and always remember that your needs now aren't your needs in December.

Last year's draft was for MLF. It seemed like a weird draft, because they were getting guys for Matt's offense.

This year we have a new DC, so I look for defensive players to be taken. They'll probly grab a WR, but they need a coverage MLB, a CB or two and DL.

Lotta players available in free agency this year because of the cap situation too.

Btw, Josh Jackson might get another shot here, this D is a zone heavy scheme.
