First, although it is not my job to find evidence to prove this assertion. I attempted to verify the veracity of the claim.

However, as with many articles in the press today, the case asserted in the headline is not made in the article. If one actually reads the article, there do NOT seem to be any family connection with the Green Bay board or hierarchy with Berry. Yes, per the article, "How did Joe Barry get the job in Detroit, you ask? Well it just so happens that the head coach of the Lions, Rod Marinelli, was Barry’s father-in-law. Yes, Joe Barry was married to Rod Marinelli’s daughter, and Marinelli hired him. Don’t worry though, Rod said it wasn’t nepotism:"

That's Detroit, not Green Bay.... They sucked and he got canned.

In regard to McCarthy, being married to an 'ex-wife' of a board member could hardly be called nepotism. Seriously, if you were a board member, would you be happy about someone schtuping your ex-wife?

I fail to see evidence of the nepotism in Green Bay. So unless someone can connect some dots, that assertion should be dismissed.

Again, I am a Jim Leonhard fan and wish he were defensive coordinator, but nepotism does not appear to be the reason Barry in in Green Bay
