I have to admit i have to agree with Vikes on the laughing at that comment. You do remember we were 6-10 last year right and trying a new defense that we don't even know if the players can play in. Also will have a tough schedule this year. I'll be happy to make the playoffs (even though it would save TT's job). We don't have a contending team but i guess once you make the playoffs anything is possible, until you have to play an AFC team.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

That's exactly why I said in a couple of years. Until the players get into the system. The Packers have a young team with talent at every position, a little lack of depth here and there. This team could easilly win a SB in 2-3 years. I don't see why you deny it. A good draft this year, get 2-3 impact players and this team can be in the SB match. I mean it's very possible, you just got to have faith...

As far as MR. Vikes, congratulations in going to the playoffs you know what made me really laugh when you guys got your new QB ... I see a lot of great potential maybe the next Brady or Manning :thumbleft: Good luck in 09.

Will see who gets the last laugh.

And to all the Packers that doubt the Packers, shame on you. When this team was 13-3 they we're contenders and possible SB champions soon. All of sudden after a 6-10 season with close calls we suck now ...

A little question for others? Why isn't the Leap worth a penalty its using a prop and celebrating? I like it but i always wondered how thye can call some stupid celebration penalties but yet turn their head at ours?

Take a leap

In 2006, NFL owners voted 29-3 in favor of giving officials power to penalize a team 15 yards on the subsequent kickoff for excessive celebrations anywhere on the field.

Simple celebrations such as spikes, spins and dances would be allowed.

Celebrations that exceed these limits could draw a penalty, fines or even suspensions.

The Lambeau Leap performed by members of the Green Bay Packers was one major exception made to the rule.

That is actually frickin awesome. It shows how much the league respects the godfathers of football (GB Packers of course).

I agree with you Fin on this one, I like Chad he is entertaining something the NO FUN League frowns upon. I wish more players would try and buck the no fun system so maybe we could see it again.

As far as TO HELL NO but i hope he don't goto Minn because i think he will be out to prove something.

I believe the leap is OK with the league because it involves the crowd/team and does not draw attention only to yourself or taunt the other player/team. Other teams have copied it and not drawn penalties.

Personally I hope the NFL keeps cracking down on the rediculous celebations.

Thompson didnt actually pass on moss, he thought we had him locked up and the patriots basically came in over night and got him.

Jacob you forget Moss was a FA last year and Ted Thompson didn't do anything thus pissing off Brett and in my belief caused Brett to say he is retiring.

You forget that Moss stated repeatedly that he wanted to stay a Patriot. Ooh wait, no facts can be posted, my bad.

We would have had to pay out the butt for him and it wasn't worth it. Remember a couple guys named Jennings, Driver, Jones, Martin? We have bigger needs than WR, especially one who only has a few more years left in him.

I think he also said he didn't want to come to GB. I'm not positive on that, but I do know he did not want to leave the Patriots.
