Really?

How'd he get all those passing records then?

Must have something to do with McCarthy or Ted Thompson, according to your illogic, I guess.

Actually, per the stats Nonstop is right. And this is one discussion where the stats do tell the whole story.

As to your question, perhaps playing in every single game for 17+ seasons had something to do with it?

Pointing out that he hasn't made a habit of 300+ yard passing performances isn't attacking the guy, you know. He hasn't.

He's had alot of 300+ yard games in his career.

The Sherman years skewed his average though, since they were primarily a running team.

55 regular season games with 300 or more yards for Brett Favre. Eight shy of Marino's record.

So that's ... 55 games out of 273 game he's played in. That's something like 20% right? That's about 3 or 4 a season.

But the Holmgren years didn't skew them at all because it was a pass oriented offense? This is the thinking process of yours that has some of us ... baffled! 🙂

2007- he had 7, 300 yarders

2006- he had 3, 300 yarders

With Mike McCarthy he averaged 5, 300 yarders per season

2005- he had 4, 300 yarders

2004- he had 5, 300 yarders

2003- he had 1, 300 yarder ( oakland mnf game)

2002- he had 3, 300 yarders

2001- he had 4,300 yarders

2000 he had 2 , 300 yard games

With Sherman averaged 3.1 300 yard games per seaosn

99 he had 6, 300yarders...Ray season

98 he had 4, 300 yarders

97- he had 2, 300 yarders

96- he had 2, 300 yarders

95- he had 7, 300 yarders

94- he had 4, 300yarders

93- he had 1 , 300 yarder ( was 400 actually )

With Holmgren he averaged 3.3 300 yarders per season

Actually Sherman years were pretty damn close to the Holmgren years
in fact if you throw out the best and worse years under those 2 coaches you get

Sherm- 3.5 per year

Holmgren- 3 per year

All of his numbers are skewed so F*ck Favre!

I just don't get some of the logic around here, and I don't reallly mean you, Slick.

Dear TheOldMan:

Please allow posters' words to speak for themselves. If I want to say Favre wasn't good, I will. I haven't said anything like that, nor has anyone else.

Saying that he wasn't a guy who made a habit out of dropping 300+ yard performances is a FAR cry from denigrating his abilities. Very few QBs have done so, and most of those were flash-in-the-pan guys who didn't last very long, because they were too damn streaky.

Why the hyperbole? Who are you trying to brawl with?
