πŸ‡²πŸ‡² has pretty much abandoned the run until we have a sizable lead.

Mike McCarthy has been calling the games VERY nicely this year, with fairly balanced attacks. And no, he hasn't abandoned the run until we have a sizable lead. Here's the splits from ESPN for Pass Attempts and Run Attempts, based on being ahead 15-21 pts, ahead 1-7 pts, behind 1-7 pts, and behind 15-21 pts:

Lead/behind	PA	RA	Pass/Run ratio
Ahead 15-21	58	55	51/49
Ahead 1-7	166	117	58/42
Behind 1-7	62	41	60/40
Behind 15-21	22	9	70/30

As you can see from the splits, being ahead 1-7 pts he has a very healthy 58/42% Pass/run ratio, and behind 1-7 pts it only goes to 60/40.

There's no way that anywhere even remotely qualifies as abandoning the run until we have a sizable lead.

When we've got a sizable lead is the ONLY time pass/run ratios are close. Or maybe you're agreeing with me and just being sarcastic and the sarcasm is going over my head.

And for the thousandth time, this whole argument was in a response to the statement people made that "we cannot win a Super Bowl without a good running game." Well, we've already won one and we're about to win another.

I'd like to see our complete defense on the field against a good team before I start guaranteeing Super Bowl wins. But if the league allows Dbacks to hold our receivers down like the Giants got to, we're vulnerable.

As for holding our receivers, then your boy Finley needs to catch the ball. Had Finley caught those key 3rd down receptions against the Giants, that game could have been completely different.

In football, just like in life, there's ALWAYS a workaround.

And I may be crazy, but I've had some pretty off beat predictions that have come true. Like taking the Giants over the Pats in the '07 SB without even taking the points. Also I said we'd win the SB with a limited running game. I think I said 3 to 1 runs and it turned out to be even less runs than I predicted. Plus, let's keep in mind that I'm the guy with the $450 bottle of Scotch. :-"

18 - 0 Packers beat Patriots in Super Bowl to achieve what the '07 Patriots failed to do. Reach 19 - 0!

I like'a that headline!

If you're willing to come to SF, I'd share the Scotch with you and you don't even have to call me Nostraslayer. Although, it would be nice.

And yes, 19-0 would be nice. I think πŸ‡²πŸ‡² will make that decision on January 1st depending on how we're doing with injuries. If we're pretty healthy, πŸ‡²πŸ‡² will shoot for the 16th regular season win. If not, we're resting our starters in the 2nd half.

Winning a SB > shooting for 19-0.

I'm really starting to taste the 19-0, just because all my friends keep taking all their pithy little pock shots at the Packers. Back to back Super Bowls with an undefeated season in between = domination and I don't even care that we our D gives it up like 2 dollar hooker on New Year's Eve.

Like RaiderPride, I jumped the gun by 1 year and put $$$ on the Packers winning it all in '09. '10, we didn't have as good odds though so I didn't bother to make the Vegas trip. It was 25-1 for '09 and with that, I told Rockmolder that we'd hit the Netherlands (and I was serious) if the Packers won the SB. Mrs. Z would have loved to have some additional stamps on her passport. But alas, I was a year off.

I'm starting to taste the 19-0 too and it will be a weird thing to see 2 of the last 3 SB winners win it all with a superior O and a D that has to rely on takeaways because it can't tackle worth a damn. The '09 Saints were the same way.

Although I don't have anyone giving me shit here because they all know we're the team to beat. They also know that I love to rub it in every chance I get. (As NSD or Wade will tell you, I'm the same person on the board that I am in real life). Maybe you're too nice in real life, Dakota.

Zero2Cool (17h) : Jets and Aaron Rodgers open up on Monday Night Football,

Zero2Cool (13-May) : Lions are signing QB Jared Goff to a four-year, $212 million extension
Zero2Cool (13-May) : I know we moved on. That tidbit just makes me a touch happier.
Zero2Cool (13-May) : Sources spoke of many, many times last summer where Hackett called a play, then Rodgers changed it completely at the line
Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : I really don't know lol. I don't see him getting blown up.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : -3 buwahhhahaaha
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : 4th
Zero2Cool (9-May) : because he's 1st
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
beast (9-May) : Center is usually considered the easiest position physically if you can handle the snap stuff.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : Bust it is then
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Context. Sounds like Myers won't be cross-trained. C or bust.
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : @BookOfEli_NFL Packers pass game coordinator, Jason Vrable said that Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks shared a placed in Florida while train
Mucky Tundra (8-May) : For now...
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers go about evaluating their "best five," OL coach Luke Butkus makes on thing clear: "Josh Myers is our center."
beast (8-May) : Though I'm a bit surprised letting go of CBs, I thought we needed more not less
beast (8-May) : It was confusing with two DB Anthony Johnson anyways
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers actually had Ray Lewis on the phone.
Zero2Cool (8-May) : Packers wanted to draft Ray Lewis. Ravens stole him.

buckeyepackfan (6-May) : and released CB Anthony Johnson and DL Deandre Johnson and waived/injured WR Thyrick Pitts (thigh-rick).
buckeyepackfan (6-May) : The Green Bay Packers have signed WR Julian Hicks, OL Lecitus Smith (luh-SEET-us) and WR Dimitri Stanley
Zero2Cool (6-May) : Petty, but it's annoying me how the NFL is making the schedule release an event.
Mucky Tundra (4-May) : @mattschneidman Matt LaFleur on how he tore his pec: β€œGot in a fight with the bench press. I lost.”
Zero2Cool (3-May) : Jordan Love CAN sign an extension as of today. Might tak weeks/months though

Zero2Cool (2-May) : Season officially ending tonight for Bucks ... sad face
Zero2Cool (2-May) : Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as out for tonight's game.
dfosterf (2-May) : Surprisingly low initially is my guess cap wise, but gonna pay the piper after that
dfosterf (2-May) : The number on Love is going to be brutal.
Zero2Cool (2-May) : May 3rd. Extension day for Jordan Love. (soonest)
Zero2Cool (1-May) : USFL MVP QB Alex McGough moved to WR. So that's why no WR drafted!
earthquake (1-May) : Packers draft starters at safety ever few years. Collins, Clinton-Dix, Savage
beast (1-May) : Why can't the rookies be a day 1 starter? Especially when we grabbed 3 of them at the position
dfosterf (1-May) : Not going to be shocked if Gilmore goes to the Lions.
dfosterf (1-May) : I hear you dhazer, but my guess would be Gilmore Colts and Howard Vikings from what little has been reported.
Mucky Tundra (30-Apr) : S learn from McKinney who learns from Hafley who learns from the fans. Guaranteed Super Bowl
Zero2Cool (30-Apr) : could*
Zero2Cool (29-Apr) : Safeties should learn from Xavier.
