Like many NFL fans and observers, former Chargers and Patriots safety Rodney Harrison is getting sick of Brett Favre.

And Harrison made his position known during a Wednesday appearance on The Dan Patrick Show.

From the players Ive talked to, a lot of them seem to think Brett Favre is pretty selfish, Harrison said. Each and every offseason bringing so much attention to himself. Its just really a disappointment to hear that time and time again.

If youve been in the league 13, 14, 15 years or so you know if you want to play. The circus shouldnt have to go on for three to four years. Its just a disappointment. Then the media theyre just so caught up and in love with Brett Favre covering this whole thing. Its ridiculous because a lot of guys are doing good, positive things in the National Football League and those keep things keep getting overlooked.

Though were having trouble getting the official PFT Commodore 64 to play the audio of Harrisons appearance, a reader told us that Harrison also said that hed prefer playing against Favre than having him for a teammate, because Favre can be counted on to throw four or five balls per game that the secondary has a shot at intercepting. (Harrison also would have a better chance to blow out Favres knee, given the whole red jersey thing in practice.)

Though we tend to agree with Harrison, when else has an elite player who still has gas in the tank positioned himself to play for one of the chief rivals of the team with which he became a living legend?

Its virtually unprecedented in the NFL. (It might be unprecedented in other pro sports we dont know because we dont pay attention to any of them. Except hockey. In May.)

The fact that theres a three-ring circus quality to the story has caused many to overlook the basic fact that the story is damn compelling, and that Favre playing for the Vikings will make the 2009 season even more intriguing.

What's funny is 3 people gave me +1 for my post. Yet, since YOU have grown tired of it, you assume everyone else has. If thats the case ignore it.

You deleted a whole section because you couldn't handle the Brett talk. Yet you knock people for bitching about it. That's REAL Ironic.

I think it's more of a dig on Harrison's rep as a dirty player. Nonetheless, distasteful, very distasteful.

I mean, I hope we rough him up, but I don't want to see the man hurt. He's the enemy as long as he wears that uniform or any that is not the Packers. I'll pull for him in non Packer games, that's it.

Oh look, Zero's bringing me into it again. Predictable

Then when I respond he'll get all bent out of shape about being "tired of Brett Favre".

Quit starting shit if you can't handle it.

Telling Stat......................................

Posts related directly to Brett Favre since the "NO MORE BRETT FAVRE" rant.

Zero = 9
dd80 = 1

Now off to sending me another "warning" or just ban me. You are clearly looking to start a pissing match again, in which then, you'll blame on me.

You want to finish your career here?
Favre: "Definitely. If in two years, say, they want to trade me, I'd probably walk away. Retire."

Bro, I don't care who it is. Pack93z could have said it, Cheesey, anyone and I would have done the same exact thing. You need think a little bit more and get over yourself. I have. This is just more proof you come here for the purpose of bitching. You bitch about Brett, then the section is gone for a not even 24 hours. You whine about that. Then it's back, and you don't even talk about Brett, instead you once again try to throw me under the bus. I just do not get it. Since I am such a nice guy, I will give you a FULL refund on every penny and every hour you've spent building this website. How's that work for you? 😉 Jus giving you crap bro.

Let's see if we can get the discussion aimed towards the post now that dd80 and I made ourselves look silly stupid, again!

I think Rodney's comments are a little over the top, but its interesting to hear his perception of what other players think about it. I wonder how valid it is? I do agree there are many good things going on in the NFL and are being overshadowed by the Brett deal. The problem? Brett isn't just MY drug, he's America's drug too! lol

I remember when Rodney Harrison injured his knee last year. It made me really sad. Sad because I wasn't there to wack his knee 100 times with a baseball bat. I'm so glad he's retired but cant wait for him to stfu.

Harrison is just jealous of the attention the media gives Favre. Nobody gives a flying (penetration) about Rodney Harrison so even when he gets injured, the only people who care are the ones like me who are smiling ear to ear.

Favre > harrison. Get used to it and wait till he retires and takes your job you dirty little (female dog)
