While MN/GB has gotten much more important as far as yearly record. For me it will never, ever catch the Bear rivalry.

I don't care if Chicago has lost every game for 2 years, I want to embarrass them. MN, if they are not in the playoff picture, as long as we beat them I am happy.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

I really enjoy the GB/MN rivalry and it's getting to another level with Favre on their side now. People who normally wouldn't watch either of these teams will definitely be watching these 2 games as it's going to be very intense.

i would really like to see, on november 1st when vikings will come to green bay, how many people'll boooo favre and how many'll cheer for him.
no wonder we still have favre fans left in green bay who just loves to see him back playing.
but i have heard lots of fans dont like his move either.

Maybe you guys have talked about this before. I did a search, though, and I haven't seen it discussed.

So I'm wondering what you guys think, which is the bigger rivalry Packers/Vikings or Packers/Bears?

For me it's Packers/Vikings, but I think that is probably because I grew up in South Dakota (mostly Vikings country) and then lived in St. Paul, MN for four years or so. So for most of my years as a fan I've been surrounded miserable, misanthropic, self loathing Vikings fans who take out all of their pent up frustration at the lack of a title on Packer fans. Then there is also the fact that for most of my developmental years as a little Packer fan the Bears were pretty terrible, while the Packers were either winning the SB, in the SB or at least in the playoffs, so the Bears were hard to hate. I have noticed though, that when the Bears are good I tend to dislike them a great deal more.

What about you guys? If you live closer to Illinois does it increase your dislike of the Bears, or are the Vikings still the favored object of spite? Does it matter how good a team is and for how many years? After all, its pretty hard to hate the 0-16 Lions (but I hope we kill them on Thanksgiving).

Finally, are you all aware that a pretty good number of Broncos fans have a strong dislike for the Packers... what's up with that?

Vikings - because they have a half dozen of our over the hill players and they think their king shit because of it. And because they put up a fight.

Bears - they are weak. Aging defense with no WR and they've ruined a could have been HoF return man, Hester.

Both are good, but I'd give the Vikings an edge because those games are more competitive. Until the Bears step it up, it'll remain that way.

I dunno I enjoy the Bears rivalry a bit more. I always want to beat the Bears but the Vikings I just want them to lose every single game.

i'd say vikings because I live in MN surrounded by vikings fans. so if i didnt make this an amazing rivalry i wouldnt be having any fun. but i think if u polled the guys that actually live in green bay they'd say the bears mostly. But like zero said the vikings have been more competitive than the bears recently

We actually had a poll about this during the off-season, but I think it would be good to hear from those newer members that didn't participate in that poll.

It's Packers Vikings for me. I belong to a Viking forum, along with several other members here, and we have a lot of fun over there.

You will also see several Vikings fans in this forum. They are all pretty much from there, although one of them will not admit it.

The Bears--- The fans are just not worth the effort to even try and maintain a rivalry with, imo. I have tried, but just too friggin' dumb and obnoxious. We do have a couple of them here, and I happen to like the ones we do have...it's luck. :thumbleft:

We do have a couple of those, and one of them is border-line crazy...his name is Polar Grizz. He hangs out mostly down in the back alley, kind of a pre-emptive thing with him, because if he ventures up here into the main part of this forum, the stuff he puts up usually winds up down there anyway.

If you get a chance, head down to the back alley and look around. You will find the grizz and some of the Vikes fans smack-stuff. The Grizz is a master...

So I say any newer member that never saw our "poll" thread on this---

Let everyone know what you think!
